The port in San Francisco is not as organized as others the porters basically hold you up for money and only take luggage from the people who tip them the most. If you don’t tip them they will wait till last to get to your luggage.

If you are going to Alaska from San Francisco then book a room on the right side of the ship because you sail right by Alcatraz.
