Review summary

Overall, this cruise was good. The ship, I heard, is due to be dry docked in 2020 for some much needed upgrades. Will try this cruise again after these upgrades are done.

Service and Staff

The Maitre’d, Santosh, and his hostess at the main dining room are useless. As a couple, they placed us in a communal table. Don’t bother getting transferred to another table as they’ll lie to you about getting you moved. On a good note, the wait staff were fantastic! Our servers were great and made up for the lack honesty from Santosh. Our Steward, Ryan, was phenomenal! He took care of everything. The steakhouse is fantastic. Great food and awesome service.

Ship Quality

Standard complaints here. The Serenity lounge could be bigger to accommodate adults. This is especially needed when on a Thanksgiving cruise filled with children and couples just want some privacy. Lights on the balcony should automatically shut-off at night so as not to bother the neighbors or find a way to minimize the light from shining through if neighbors choose to keep it on 24/7. Other than these, all is well for this older ship.

Ryan, our ship steward was phenomenal

Ship tip

The entertainment is great. Watch the shows. The Cruise Director is a riot! Make sure to catch his shows.

Ports of call

Mazatlan, Mexico

Same as Cabo. No tenders needed here but the lines to board the ship were long. Be prepared to wait. Mazatlán is beautiful and out zip line excursion was great. The tequila even better.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Best port of the three stops and definitely do the Rythms of the Night excursion. You won’t be disappointed. I’ve seen it 2 times and still love it.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo is beautiful and we went snorkeling. The lines to get back on the ship and wait for the tenders were very very looooong! Be prepared to wait!!

Well just booked a 15day HI. towards end of 2020 so it's gotta be back by then? I hope it gets a shiny new coat. Lol. I thought Lido was already upgraded though? Idk.

Cruising Jan 17- Feb 1 on miracle, going to Hawaii. Heard that would be last cruise before it's updated.

Will be interesting to see how long it will be out of service and how much of an upgrade improvement there will be.
