Review summary

We had trouble knowing the exact time throughout the cruise. Digital clocks need to be in each floor with time of day onboard! That said overall once again we had a thoroughly enjoyable cruise!

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining room staff extremely attentive. We especially enjoyed the fine dining and also the breakfasts. The buffet breakfast needs to have orange marmalade available!!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We would have given more stars for the pool and hot tub spa but they were too crowded and the same people hogged them for very long periods. We liked the adult area. Seating was limited and towels were out in the chairs from early morning, holding the sun beds.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Really enjoyed the stage shows. Talented grip of performers

Children's Programs

No children with us this trip.

Service and Staff

Everyone went over the top to make our trip enjoyable.

Ship Quality

Cleaning was ongoing by the hard working crew.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Overall the cabin was comfortable and Robin our cabin steward looked after us well. On arrival I had to call housekeeping to come and clean the sink area/ toilet bowl and wipe the over sink glass shelves. Soap scum was left by the sink and the shelves were very dusty. The toilet bowls ha e brown rings and really need a stronger clean or better still replacing.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Our second time here with Carnival and enjoyed it on this trip. One big draw back though, there are no benches or Publix’s seating around the marina. Two of our party suffered greatly in the heat and no where to sit and rest apart from restaurants! Not good. My hus a d had to sit on a dirty step and could it get up. So bit the best place for seniors with e en slight mobility issues.

Mazatlan, Mexico

We were on this cruise too and the whole time change made it so confusing. Half of the trip even the hub app was wrong. Had to add an hour. We kept missing out on things we wanted to do!

Carnival hub has the correct time I recommend a travel clock for room and a watch for your wrist. You can change time as needed. I look at the TV ( it shows ships time) or you can call guest services first thing. Also, you can ask any crew member. It seems like hey all wear watches.

I recommend buying a travel clock. It makes a huge difference in the cabin.
