Carnival Miracle...HORRIBLE!!! GUEST SUITE experience disgusting by DeniseDR

Dirty furniture on the patio that looked as if it had not been cleaned in weeks. The glass on the balcony railing was filthy, had algae on it, and you could not see through it. We paid, over $2,000.00 to have a HUGE balcony, but could not enjoy it unless standing at the railing. The light cover, on the mirror, in the room was not even the correct cover for the light. It was bumped into by my wife and fell off, cutting her hand. There were to Left sides on the mirror. Therefore not even being mounted correctly or being the correct part. The TV Remote in the room barely worked and required standing, tilting and almost getting it right next to the TV to function. Refrigerator had a broken button on the fridge. I assume to open the door. The button was pushed all the way in and would not come out. The door on the closet would come open as the ship made a turn in the middle of the night, slamming against the opposite side and turning on the interior light. Waking both of us repeatedly in the middle of the night. A simple latch on the outside of the doors would fix that.

Wonderful Cruise Despite Problem Excursions by blmeiss

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Hawaii

Our cabin was super. It was a suite, so size was not an issue. The Vista Suite has a large wrap-around balcony that we made very frequent use of. Again, there were scuffs and rust around some of the edges, but nothing that reduced the functionality. My single complaint about the cabin is that the door to the balcony was a bit sprung, so it wouldn't close tightly. This caused a constant whistle when it was windy. I found that if I pulled hard on the handle, the cabin was suddenly, blissfully quiet, however that only worked while you were pulling it closed. I finally figured out that if I put a towel in between the door and the jam, it broke up the flow of air and at least got rid of the whistle. Again, I would hope this would be addressed in dry dock.

Our Cruise by aerinha

We loved our cabin. We have never stayed in one nicer. However, there was a leak and the carpet was wet in the closet, and by the bed. Because of this, we were forced to deal with two large fans that were put into the room for about 3 days. Also, there was something wrong with the temperature in the shower. It would run at a good temperature and then switch over to scalding hot water and then back to normal again. We called guest services and they sent several people to attempt to fix the problem. The metal shower unit in the shower was changed twice. The second time apparently was a new unit, and it finally worked correctly. On speaking with one of our neighbors we discovered they were having the same problem with their shower. This was finally fixed toward the end of the cruise after everyone in our cabin had been burned on more than one occasion.
