Overall good, except that Carnival was not clear about how to carry on our allowed two bottles of wine. They should be more explicit about the allowed wine and beverage policy.
Food was great, especially, in the main dining room. Even though it was worth the wait, the BBQ lines were too long. The burgers were great. The charge for alcoholic beverages was excessive relative to our experience with other cruise lines. As if the prices of the drinks were not already high enough, Carnival added a service on top of it.

Onboard Activities

The rope course was not well managed. One of attendants, by the name of "Big Mac" could use more training in being guest friendly and proficient in his job. He handed me the harness, walked away to other guests, expecting me to know how to put it on safely. He allowed people with loose crocks to go through while he made me go get my socks to where under my closed toed fully buckled sandels....
Entertainment

OK. Much higher caliber entertainment on Royal Caribbean and MSC. The country music show was below par! Too many low quality game shows. The comedy shows were good.
Children's Programs

Didn't really enjoy it. The attendants were not attentive to our child.
I am copying and pasting directly from Carnival: Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception - at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750-ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne, per person, in their carry-on luggage.* Outside this exception, all liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided. Guests sailing with us on back-to-back cruises are entitled to bring the same quantity as stated in this policy, per cruise. The additional quantities will be stored for safekeeping at the start of the first cruise and will be given to the guest as each following cruise begins.
it's actually crystal clear that wine has to be in your carry on. it's stated on the website. as far as the drink prices, I've compared carrival, total and celebrity... all pretty much the same and they all add a gratuity on it
Appreciate your feedback. Apparently you got your information from an unreliable source. As the others have mentioned, it’s clearly stated on the website, cruise contact and frequency on here. Sorry you had your wine confiscated. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
Actually it’s pretty clear how you have to carry wine on. It’s meant to be inconvenient to deter people from doing it. As well as them not taking the risk of being blame when it shatters in your suit case.
