Got a Great price for 7 nights but like the saying goes - "You get what you pay for". With out the Port/Taxes and Gratitude charges, paid under $250 per person. The Cabin Stewart's and Dinning/Ledo Deck Buffet Workers Beyond Great workers. The Cabin was very small but served the purpose and the Cabin Stewart's worker were Great. The Dining Staff was also Great too. As for the Dining Room BBQ and the Short Ribs were fantastic, they melted like butter in your mouth and perfectly cooked. The Prime Rib and Filet Mignon was ok but not as good as in the past on the ship. Had the Mongolian Grill 5 out of the 7 nights. Best everyday food on the ship. Pizza used to be a 10 prior the the pandemic. Now I would say it's a 2. Don't know what they did to make it so bland? My guess cheaper mutz and weak sauce. Looks like their still using the Caputo flour. Ryan Rose the Cruise Director was very disappointing. Was very unfriendly and would not make any verble or eye contact with people with children. But rather pick and talk to ladies around his age. Like a guy looking for his next date. At the past guest party for Platinum / Diamond. Mr Rose spent about 15 minutes on stage, and basically talked like he had to use upto a certain amount of words to earn some sort of paycheck. Then said here is a short video of the history of Carnival and after the 8 minutes video and the lights came back on he was nowhere to be found and all the loyal pass guest passengers started to look around into confusion and then making conversation with other passengers to make sense of the awkward feeling of being left alone. In the past the Cruise Director made it feel like the past guest that reached the Platinum and Diamond status were very valued to me organization. The same for the Ledo Deck White Dress party. He just disappeared after 30 minutes of listening to unmotivated talk. I guess he thought he was the best thing since slice bread. He did nothing to make the Cruise fun. We have done 26 Cruise, with 17 on Carnival so far since 1987 and would have done 2 others but was cancelled due to the pandemic. Without any doubt this was the worst Cruise Director we ever seen. From a scale of 0-10 Not using the 1-10 scale due to I could give the Cruise Director and credit due to how much he did do. Cruise Director 0. Cabin Stewarts 10. Dining & Lido Buffet Works 10. Dining Room Magician 10. Food in Dining Room 7.

Small but serve the purpose a dynamite Cabin Stewarts.

Ship tip

If you have this Cruise Director your on your own so I would plan ahead to know what to do cuz you're not going to get any eye contact for from him unless your in his age group and female.

We absolutely loved Ryan! He was very social and personable. I however could not STOMACH Chris. He's by far the most annoying cruise director I've ever had the displeasure to sail with. I guest it just all depends on your taste. πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

I don't know how I forgot to mention our family's Favorite Cruise Director without a doubt Chris Williams. "The Flying Scotsman" Chris has so much energy and motivates to everyone onboard from ages 1 to 90+ with his dancing with his Zumba Style Dancing and Singing. Mr Williams didn't need a Big Stage to show his Dancing and Singing Skills. Didn't matter if it was The Lido Deck on 2'x8' Pool Bench or The Main Atrium 1.5'x20' Bar Countertop by the Pursers Desk EVERYONE WAS ROCKING. The AKA Flying Scotsman made everyone, no matter if it was the 1st night or last night feel welcomed and wonderful to be onboard. Chris perfected his act that within seconds everyone was motivated. Mr Williams kept you updated starting at 9am motivating everyone on what and where things are going on throughout the day on the P.A. Chris was everywhere and very sociable to everyone did it matter your age. My family can't wait to have him as our Cruise Director again.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. We were on the Magic earlier this year with a different cruise director who I would give a 6/10. Our favorite cruise director was on the MSC Maraviligia. I love the Magic. It’s a great boat.

Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise with us. Glad that other than a bad cruise director you had an enjoyable cruise. The Magic is my favorite ship.

I agree with AuntPrinkie and I thought I came up with the saying that: "The Cruise Director can Make or Break the Cruise Experience!" But having only 26 to her 50 Cruise, I'm lower on the bragging rights. Thank you for agreeing on the Value of the importance of a Good Cruise Director!

A cruise director can make or break the social atmosphere of a cruise. Thanks for sharing your sharing this name (just in case we ever sail with him). Glad you otherwise enjoyed your trip!

I’m glad that other than the cruise director you seem to have enjoyed your cruise. Simon London was our cruise director on the Magic back in May and he was great. Thank you for taking the time to share your review. πŸ˜ŽπŸš’β˜€οΈπŸ©΄πŸπŸͺΈπŸ πŸŒΊ
