Review summary

The kids and I loved the Magic with all the things to do, ports we did visit, and size of the ship so we didn’t feel movement. We didn’t like always having to wait and things running out quickly.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Stuck waiting outside in heat as they had issues with the ramp disconnecting from the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was delicious but Lines at lido were insane and drinks were always running out on the lido.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Felt cramped with 4 people-bunk beds down and a king. Would recommend keeping beds as twins.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
Terrible experience getting onboard and parking/dealing with the traffic in Miami.

George Town, Grand Cayman Did not visit port

Medical emergency sent us to Key West instead

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

4 out of 5
Tried to use the beach right there but it was hard for younger kids due to steep drop off. Also extremely hot and muggy which made my kids crabby.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
Went to see ruins which were amazing!!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Dolphin excursion with open bar afterwards was amazing!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5

My recommendation is to get two cabins. I would never cruise 4 to a cabin! We just cruised with our daughter and her family, and she and hubby had a balcony cabin, and the 3 kids across the hall in an inside cabin. Easy least. Two bathrooms and plenty of privacy. We did that way back when we sailed with our two daughters before their marriage. We tried cruising one year with this same daughter when her hubby was deployed. We shared a cabin with her and our 10 month old granddaughter. NEVER AGAIN! It was so crowded and no privacy except for escaping to the balcony.
