When we got to our room for the evening, my daughter went int9 bathro9m and there was a contact lens stuck to the sink from previous guest. There was a dirty sock laying on floor and a hair ball and could clearly tell floor hadnt been vacuumed. The phone and counter top were sticky and the bed ruffle tha5 covers the frame was almost completely split in half. Stood in line at customer service for almost an hour and they were going to give us a different room and then the girl realized we had two rooms and talked to another co worker and all of a sudden said we dont have any rooms available, we will send mgr u0 to room and I told her we weren’t truing to change both rooms just wanted a clean room. She said they would come in 30minutes. I said i was willing to pay for an upgrade or take a room on lower level as long as was clean and same response; went back to room and no one ever showed until late next morning to do a “deep cleaning” to,d the supervisor that should have been done before we even got to room! They send they would send a surprise to our room to make up for it and later sent a plate of chocolate covered strawberries that looked so pathetic we put them in hall to be taken away. What a major disappointment. I took my daughters on a girls trip 10 years ago on Carnival and we loved it. Finally saved enough money to do it again with the addition of a couple of grandkids this time and WOW how Carnival has changed and not for the good. It really was a bad start and appropriate actions were not taken quick enough! Basic customer service lacking including in dining room. Sadly I have pictures, but not available to me at time of review. They had the documentation from customer service of issues with room. Also had lights that needed replaced that were not done before we came in room and a plug didn’t work. They changed the bulbs, did not fix plug.

The cabin was my first (and last) experience with an interior cabin. It was a very claustrophobic feeling not having any light in the morning or any hint of daylight. The room was very tiny, though the bathroom was generous in size as was the closet space. There is no seating area in the interior stateroom either. For $1300.00 (before taxes), I hoped it would be a bit roomier. That said, the beds were very comfortable, and our steward made it a pleasant enough atmosphere.
