Overall, it was a great cruise, with some interesting ports of call. I recommend this cruise!

I feel like the standards have fallen in the Spa "quiet lounge". On our last trip we were able to enjoy herbal teas, as well as water. Now we can only drink water or black tea, no milk or cream was provided. The lounge was dirty and untidy and did not feel relaxing at all. Additionally, I felt very pressurized to purchase additional services from the massage therapists. My husband and I paid a LOT of money for a 90-minute couples massage when we can get a better service for half the price at home. The ladies who treated us were clearly not happy in their job, they did not give us the deep-tissue massage we requested, and we generally felt they were not up to the standard of service we experienced throughout other parts of the ship, which was top-shelf service and attitude. Furthermore, the therapists did not honor the 20% discount we had negotiated with the front desk manager at the spa, and pushed back when we questioned them. In fact, we felt so strongly about our experience at the spa on this trip, we decided not to spend another dollar at the spa, so we did not finalize our additional therapy bookings, even though we specifically purchased a spa suite so we could really treat ourselves on this trip. We were so disappointed that we will not book a spa suite again. Other than this experience, we have no complaints about any of the other facilities we used.
Entertainment

I have marked down two stars, as I felt that the two shows I attended (Comedy Show, and Rock Show) were of a noticeably poorer standard than the shows I saw on my 2015 cruise on the Magic. I feel like the standards had fallen.

I have no complaints; it was excellent in size, comfort and cleanliness.
I marked down a star because the service at the hotel on Pillory Beach was utterly appalling. They have a lot to learn about customer service, and if Grand Turk is indeed a "Carnival Island", some training is required there to bring them in line with the generally excellent customer service Carnival offers on their ships. The destination itself is stunning, and definitely forces you to relax and appreciate the natural beauty of the place. Our cab driver went above and beyond, coming all the way back to Pillory Beach, waiting for us and making sure we made it safely back to the ship in time for departure.
