Review summary

We had an enjoyable time and this ship was a great choice and very budget friendly. It wasn't the latest and greatest on the ocean but we had a lot of fun!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We got Faster to the Fun and we're on the ship before 1 pm enjoying lunch and waterslides!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good. We did not try any of the specialty restaurants, but the included meals did not disappoint.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The waterslides were a lot of fun. As we're the fun areas, i.e. sport court, mini golf, foosball, bags, and checkers. The ropes course was rarely open due to high winds.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The DJs, comedians, and musicians were solid. The stage shows could have been better.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
The kids enjoyed the kids club, but enjoyed the kids clubs on previous cruises better.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Service was fine but no one stuck out as going the extra mile.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was clean but the layout/design was non-, intuitive.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin did the trick for us. We slept and showered in the room and it served it's purpose.

Ship tip

It's not the newest ship out there but it was an enjoyable trip!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
The port was fine.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
We did the Damajagua waterfall excursion with Uguana Mama and had a blast. There was a large pool with slides and minimal shops. The excursion was great, the port itself was a little small so one would need to leave port to explore.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Beautiful! We did a snorkeling excursion with St. Thomas Scuba and Snorkel and had a blast.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We went on an excursion with Natural Escapes Puerto Rico and had a great time. We went into El Yunque followed by some natural waterholes and waterslides followed by a beach. We had a great time!

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
We did a tour with Exclusive Escapes and snorkeled. We went to two different sites and saw a variety of fish and the captain prepared conch salad. The last stop was Gibbs Cay where we got to interact with Stingrays. It was a lot of fun and the crew was very accommodating. The port was right on the beach so you could just stay there all day and be fine too!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It was a little disorganized as compared to prior cruises.

When a ship is brand new , the cost of the cruise is always much higher than the older ships . Even though they are going to the same ports . Stay with the older ships and save money , and always get the. "My time dinning " to go anytime you want for dinner .

I will be sailing this ship next year for a B2B for my 50th Anniversary. Could you elaborate on your comment that it’s not one of the best. I understand that it is older than the Breeze, that I just sailed, but Carnival usually is good about maintaining their ships.
