Review summary

For the chaos that occurred trying to get on the ship and not being able to visit Saint Thomas, a $50 credit plus a $15 lunch credit is not acceptable. Lines for food were always too long. More stations should have been open throughout the day. This was my fourth seven day cruise. My first seven day experience was with Royal Caribbean and then carnival. After that experience I said I would never cruise carnival again. I cruised seven days again with Royal and regret choosing carnival for this for the cruise. I was encouraged because I was told carnival had really increased the quality of the experience. Also, areas of the ship were too HOT. No air condition or circulation. This was rediculous. Hallways to cabin smelled like sewage each day, all day. The day we got back to port, the smell in the room was awful. The smell made us get up earlier to get out of the room. my daughter really enjoyed O2.

Embarkation

A mess. Our ship was late due to a medical emergency on the previous cruise. We completely understood that this was not necessarily in the control of carnival. They send a text message for everyone to arrive between three and six and to disregard the boarding times we were given previously. This was not thought out at all . It was incredibly hot and people became very irritated and disrespectful to each other. There has to be a different way to board the ship when emergency situations occur.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Disappointed in dining room food. The food was not hot. The talapia was incredibly fishy tasting; did not eat. I was excited to see CBS on the menu and incredibly disappointed when my ford touch the fish. The Seabass was robbery. Seabass is to melt in your mouth . The soup was chilly when it was supposed to be hot . During breakfast time in the dining room, we experience the same with sausages. They were served cool.

Art well in the dining room was wonderful! We were served breakfast by the same server on two occasions. If we asked for something after the meal began, he rolled his eyes and side. Specifically my daughter asked for orange juice after you brought everyone else there juice and we had started to eat. It was clear to us that he was the

Ship tip

If you eat in the dining room for dinner, don't expect hot food. Also, don't expect fish to be cooked correctly. Also, do not expect bar tenders to understand equity, yet white privilege. If a white person arrives after a person of color, time and time again the white person was addressed and served first.

Been on RC twice and Carnival 21 times. That says it all for me. Sure, issues such as weather and medical emergencies have occurred .. but always handled to their best ability. When you think of the "THOUSANDS" of people that get on and off these ships, and the fact that the ship is in constant water and humidity, it's a miracle to me they stand up as well as they do. Smells happen. They're not fun, but it's not "all the time". There is usually an explanation. I would have asked someone and on that note, I would have complained to the head waiter about rude staff. Carnival staff are among the friendliest I've seen. Sure you get a sore head once in a while, but we're all human and do not know what kind of bad news or day that person had. I'm sorry to hear you had a bad time, though. That's a bummer.

I was on the cruise before you with the medical emergency. S**t happens. It’s in the co tract you agreed upon that there is no guarantee you will make all ports of call. It was a mess for us as well as you guys. The ship also suffered mechanical issues which caused a slow down coming back. It was unfortunate but it’s a cruise ship that is going 24/7 and problems will occur. Most times things go great so when something does happen Carnival does what they can to make it somewhat better for all involved. They did a great job! But you can’t please them all.

Carnival doesnt have to compensate for missed ports. Ports are a bonus, you pd for a cruise and you got a cruise
