Review summary

We had a wonderful trip and would recoit to anyone.

Embarkation

Embarking was fine. I was a little nervous about arriving at the port later than I’d expected. I booked transportation from the airport to the ship through Carnival. There was about an hour wait for us after our flight arrived. Others had to wait nearly three hours. We got to the ship just as the food service was ending and had very little time to grab a bite and get to our room and then on to our safety drill. The actual sail away party was lots of fun. We spent the evening getting unpacked so we didn’t do dinner in the dining room the first night.

Enjoyed the dining room- both the food and the service. Our wait staff was excellent and always super friendly. Guy’s burgers and Guy’s pig and Anchor were both very good and very popular. The buffets had lots of variety. The pizza was tasty and we ate way too much ice cream.

Beautiful. Did the Kon-tiki excursion after our 1st choice was canceled due to hurricane damage. Loved the boat ride- the rum punch and the beach time.

Beautiful historic island. We did a bus ride around the city- both old and new San Juan. Our driver was super knowledgeable and funny. She stopped so we could get off the bus and make pictures.

Leisurely breakfast and relaxed on the Lido while waiting on our assigned time to disembark.

Absolutely loved Magic. Had a cove balcony, although the ceiling panels were trashed by the previous occupants from jumping up and down on the beds and hadn’t been replaced. Great all round.
