We had a great time overall. It was the first cruise for one of us, 2nd for two others...but first on Carnival for one of us. I think we were all pleased overall.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We had a junior suite, this included VIP embarkation and disembarkation...so it was a very smooth process to embark
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining room was wonderful. After the first night we requested a different wait-team and were seated in Wayan's section...Wayan and his team really made our experience over-the-top! Would highly recommend making sure you like your head waiter and their team. We didn't dine at any specialty restaurants, but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Even the buffet was enjoyable.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We ended up with an extra day at sea due to high seas and wind preventing us from visiting Amber Cove...we made the best of it and enjoyed the activities poolside.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We saw a limited show (again due to high seas...for safety the performers were "seated") which was entertaining. Near the martini bar there was a live band which was a lot of fun!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As mentioned previously, Wayan in the main dining room, was phenomenal! Our room steward was also amazing. He made sure we our cabin was ready for us daily and helped make the "3rd" bed just like the other twin beds...couldn't tell the difference!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
It seemed to be a very clean ship and the layout made it easy to get around.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
For 3 women, this was a great cabin. Plenty of closet space and having a dressing area/vanity area separate from the bathroom was wonderful. Our balcony had a great view as it was right near the bow. Everything was very clean and comfortable. (1 suggestion...if 3 people are using the junior suite - ask the steward to remove the "coffee table" as it is really unnecessary and provides more floor space for walking around) ALSO, there is a window above the "couch/3rd bed". It is easily viewable from the public bow area outside, so remember to keep those curtains closed! It also makes a great "shelf" for extra items (book you're reading, decorations for view outside, etc.)
Ship tip
Always pack an over the door shoe organizer and magnets. We used ribbons to tie the organizer over the bathroom door. It helps to keep sunscreens, hairspray, flip flops, and other various items off the counters and the floors.
Did not do an excursion, instead we walked to El Morrow from the dock and back through town. It was a nice walk and great to visit the shops on the way back to the ship.
