Review summary

Cruise was a lot of fun. Wish it had been longer. Hated that we missed Grand Turks. Pretty much the whole cruises itinerary was changed from the beginning and not in a good way. Oh well, such is life.

Embarkation experience was super smooth flowing. The best port we've left from. Porters outside were quick to retrieve luggage and direct you where to go. Security was quick and kept the lines moving.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Guys Burger Joint and Barbecue were amazing. BBQ was the best by far! The burgers were mediocre, good but not amazing. Southern Lights Dining was amazing! Wait staff was June, Joseph, and Richard. All three were so much fun! Had drinks ready for us at the table and knew our names by the 2nd night. Food was pretty good. The Cream of Broccoli soup was the best I've ever had! Tried some other interesting dishes. Husband loves the ribs and 7 year old loves the steak and macaroni. Buffets were average. The pizza line and sandwich lines stayed crowed. They only have 1 staff member working the sandwich line so it moves slowly all the time. Cat in The Hat Breakfast was Wonderful! So worth $5

Best Pizza. Wonderful flavor, perfect crust! Only downfall is long wait times. Worth the wait though!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were never really crowded. The one on the backside of the Lido Deck was pretty cold water. Never got in the other one. All the hot runs, and I mean all of them were never over 97 degrees so they felt pretty chilly. Tried all on 5, the 2 on Lido, and the ones on the Serenity Deck. The ropes course was so cool. Everyone loved it. Had fun with Cornhole, and Basketball - even the tournament's.

Mini Golf

5 out of 5

Lots of fun. Hard to navigate when busy because the golf course is around/between the bar, cornhole, pool tables, and hot dog stand. Lots of fun though!

Dr. E IS the Best! And DJ Bones. They were so much fun! Really enjoyed the Flick show and the Magician was hilarious. The Love and Marriage show is always so much fun! The comedians were great. Missed one because of our ship not docking at Grand Turks and itinerary changed. The Christmas show was a lot of fun as well. Good music!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Camp Ocean was wonderful. Really make children comfortable. They have so many activities for all ages. They have game systems, boars games, toys, crafts and they even give the kids a cool bag with their groups logo on it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service and staff are amazing! Our room steward Jay was the best. Clean the room to tip top shape daily. The towel animals were really cute. When going down the hall with our towels, Jay or another crew member would offer to swap them out for clean ones. Wait staff in the dining room was wonderful too. Employees at the bar in the casino and the sports deck were especially kind.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was easy to navigate. Design was beautiful! Ship was pretty clean. Bathrooms were all well maintained, pool decks were constantly being mopped. For some reason, deck 4-6 aft seemed to smell like sewage pretty often in the elevator/stairwell area. Buffet areas were constantly being cleared.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin had a lot of Room, slept 4 people. 3 adults, and one child. King size bed, couch bed and upper Pullman. There were 3 full closets, one with shelves, 2 for hanging items. Bathroom was average size, liked all the extra shelving. The balcony was great! Cabin was extremely clean and smelled great.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Loved Amber Cove. Did the De Casa in La Playa excursion. "Mama" and "Geirmo" were great. Ride was about 15 minutes. Excursion was a definite 5. Food and activities were wonderful! Paddle boarding and kayking were included as well as drinks. So relaxing and so much fun. All the staff on this excursion were so welcoming! They truly catered to you.

Grand Turk Island Did not visit port

Port was cancelled due to wind being over 30 knots.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Half Moon is always so much fun. One of the most beautiful beaches. Husband had so much fun doing the tug of war contest. He even won a trophy. Food was average. Bathrooms were pretty well kept.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Don't really care for Nassau. Did the Atlantis Excursion. It was fun but the price at $193 was a little steep. Lunch was includes and there were several options to choose from. Burgers and grilled chicken was so good! Mom said the fish was some of the best she ever had. The aquarium in Atlantis was so cool. Water slides and pools are huge and lots of fun. Aquaventure was so large it was hard to navigate your way around. Atlantis is HUGE!

Disembarkation was super quick. Only negative is that people stop right in front of the main exit waiting for transportation so if you park in the parking deck, you pretty much have to push through people to get to the crosswalk to go to your car.
