We loved the staff and everybody on the cruise ship! We had the time of our lives and made a lifetime of memories! We ate and drank too much and loved every minute of it! My biggest complaint is our itinerary change. I understand things have to change if the weather changes and nobody has control over that, but Carnival in no way tried to give us comparable ports and offered 0 compensation! I'm not ok with that! I think it's bad business, therefore, I will absolutely book with a different cruise line next time! I know other people who were travelling with other cruise lines and actually got UPGRADES! We were downgraded and then downgraded again!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We went on the Magic, so there were a lot of people and the lines actually flowed very smoothly; hardly even a wait.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We purchased the Cheers package, which was nice to not have to worry about prices of what we ordered but there is a gratuity fee assess when you buy it but every time we ordered a drink, I felt obligated to tip $1 every single time and that adds up. Trust me, you will feel obligated!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the obstacle course and the swimming pool. The different activities that they have going on around the ship, were all pretty enjoyable also. I thought the cruise director was great!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We liked everybody from the comedians to the music performers and everybody in between.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
My kids actually didn't go to the kids' clubs until the last 2 days because they were shy. They regretted not going sooner because they had a blast! My daughter who is 14 yoa and in Circle C, made friends who she exchanged phone number with and is still texting back and forth.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Always the nicest people! Although some of them, I don't understand very well because of the language barrier, they all go out of their way to make you happy! I've never encountered an unpleasant experience with any ship personnel on any ship, ever! My biggest compliments go to them!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
It took me a few days to learn my way around but everything was always clean and well-maintained!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
No complaints!
Ship tip
Have fun! Enjoy it to the fullest! We had the times of our lives!
It was fine. If you go in December, you might want to go further south in case the weather is bad. We lucked out and it was perfect but coming back, it was unseasonably cold and I felt bad for the people boarding because they will lose a day of outside fun! I would still do it again because it's a convenient location for me.
It is small and not much to do and I think they sell beer for $7 each, which is ridiculous because we bought the Cheers package and the island is owned by Carnival. The water is so beautiful and the sand is so soft, it makes up for everything else!
I've been here plenty of times and this is a place I would never book a cruise if I knew in advance that this is where we were going. I understand Carnival cannot predict or change the weather but NOPE! I was not happy about this one!
It specifically states that itineraries can change on your cruise contract. As long as they took you to a port, they don't owe you any further compensation. Now, if they completely missed the port you would at least get back port fees. The rest would be at the cruise lines option.
Yeah we were suppose to go Eastern and went Western which we had gone Last year on the Magic and they said nothing they could do as for as to give us some type of compensation
