Review summary

My favorite part was spending time with my granddaughter and watching her reaction to new experiences.

As for suggestions: As with all Ships it would be wonderful if the Casino's were totally non-smoking.  I heard other passengers complain about how smoky it was and I am allergic to tobacco so it is always problematic for me.  .

I would like to see ships that cater to kids especially be totally non-smoking.

It would also be nice if cruise lines had some sort of retractable wind breakers as it can be so windy on deck that it becomes uncomfortable to sit out.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Some meals were really good while others were mediocre at best.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Some was good other shows were mediocre. I realize it was Spring break and much was geared towards the younger crowd, but I have experienced a much higher quality of entertainment on other ships without sacrificing the interest of the younger generation.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff members were excellent especially Janos who was part of the wait staff.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It was a packed ship with 4600 people plus about 1000 crew members. They tried to keep it clean but it is almost impossible. The dinning area was unusual. We were away from the center of the dinning area so we did not see much of the staff's entertainment.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
I tried to upgrade even at a higher cost but no rooms were left. The room was OK however we could hear a lot of engine noise.

Ship tip

Don't book a snorkeling trip unless you are sure there won't be a herd of people and a bunch of other ships at the same place and same time,

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
I have been there before and enjoyed Megan's Bay. Wish I had done the same this time around.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
I am not a big fan of Puerto Rico but would suggest the Rainforest. That was nice.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Always love Grand Turk.

I smoked for many years. I cannot stand the smell of it now. I would love all public places to be smoke free. People should just smoke in their own homes and or cars. Nonsmokers should not have to be subjected to others bad habits. Smoking kills.

i dont see it as a problem for most people.

Carnival used to have the Paradise, that was smoke free. But that didn't last long, couldn't sell out. I to wish the casino was smoke free, especially since the promanode deck has all the evening activities, makes it smoky all along there. But, for kids--go Disney.

Maybe next time, try a Disney Cruise.
