Review summary

Having 4 ports of call in 4 days kept us busy, and when we weren't exploring exciting new places, we were enjoying the abundance of activities on the ship.  The Serenity Deck (for 18+) and spa were a great escape from the younger passengers on board while at sea.  Food was good, service was wonderful and shows were entertaining.

Teen club was a disappointment; but the younger kids seemed to really enjoy their children's programs/groups.

Cabin / Stateroom

It's small, but served the purpose. We spent so little time there, it really didn't matter. Yes, it was interior, but that created an automatic "black-out curtain" effect that allowed us to sleep in without being awakened by the sun. The cabin stewards were great.

Ship tip

Take advantage of the at-sea day brunches in the dining room, and make at least one visit to the Italian restaurant. Yummy!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

If you're staying here the night before sailing, opt for a hotel in Titusville, or other nearby town, to save a bundle on hotel rooms and skip the crowds at restaurants Friday night & Saturday morning.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Skip the excursions. We had a GREAT time exploring the fort and streets of Old San Juan.

Grand Turk Island

Get away from the port if you want to hang on the beach. We stayed right at port, and felt like herded cattle. Margaritaville was a fiasco - loud, raucous and very expensive.

Thank you for this review it was very informative and helpful being worried about this port after the hurrican last year. This being my first cruise ever coming up I'm looking very forward to visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico for the first time.
