Review summary

Had a wonderful time, however, everything on board is very expensive!  Drinks are way too high and the cost for photographers pictures are outlandish!  I think Carnival is trying to keep the cost of the trip down so more people will go, but then they nickel and dime (or $20 and $50) you to death.  I will cruise on a smaller ship next time -- too many people -- found myself standing in line for everything.  The ship was very clean throughout and everyone I encountered was very pleasant.

Cabin steward (Hami) was excellent. He always called us by our names and did a wonderful job!

Ship tip

Open times for the hamburger station and the Mongolian stir-fry need to be expanded. I never did get to either because I wanted them before noon or after 4 p.m.

Really beautiful beaches, however, we had to wait for 45 minutes to get beach chairs!

was this your first cruise? it just seems like you didn't have any idea what to expect, not being mean, just kind of confused on what you expected.

I am too Yannabugg! they are amazing we normally buy 3-5 each cruise. But your sure to have quite a few if you take some pictures on your own camera!

Are the pics really nice? I'm A pic snob, but I really want to get pics at the dolphin excursion--I hear they're super expensive!

I honestly think its amazing that my whole family can stay away from soda and drink something healthy like juice. I've been on 3 Carnival ships, and most were amazing besides the Valor, Staff was rude and no one really cared to clean properly. There was only a handful that would call you Mr. or Mrs. But I really enjoy these vacations!

Depends on the size. Don't need to buy the professional pictures if you have your own camera. We paid $17 each. Not to bad

How much were the pictures?

We were recently on the magic. I agree it can get expensive but not forced to purchase. We only paid for pictures of our son with the dr. Seuss characters. We always buy the soda package but purchase alcohol on an as wanted basis. For the 5 of us in September, our total on board bill was $1400. That includes the excursions.
