We enjoyed our itinerary to Cozumel, Belize, and Mahogany Bay.  Embarkation/Debarkation process is always the most taxing and moved very slowly through customs.  The excursions were vast and varied and we heard many couples talking favorably about them so we would do this cruise again just to try new excursions.  The dining experience on Carnival is always pleasant.  The main complaint on this cruise was the incredibly lack of speed on the internet plans--we used all our minutes just trying to connect.  All we did was to check email and messages each day for maybe 15 minutes and we burned through the plan in less than 4 days because of poor connections.  Disappointing and frustrating.  Magic is a large ship-crowded with families, and we booked late.  Being further forward would have been optimal.  Heard that the spa deck was the quietest.  Deck 9 aft wasn't always quiet, but we used music or ear plugs at night.  Very handy to the Lido!  Always appreciate the crew--efficient and expert.  Also appreciated the cruise director and his enthusiasm, but selected announcements.  One of our best cruises ever!

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Would love to see Kashi cereals or other healthy option as well as Greek yogurt offered at buffet.

Onboard Activities

Always enjoy theatre shows, lobby and pub vocalists, spa, strolling, loved the cooking demo, although 75% of it was the same as the last cruise. Missed lots of onboard time due to length of excursions.

Entertainment

Love the Carnival singers and dancers. We particularly enjoyed Canaan and the theater shows.

Service and Staff

Hard working. Taking pride in their work.

Ship Quality

Really hate walking through the smoke filled casino. Avoid it as much as possible but to get to the pub and piano bar, we must go through. Also, my husband fell and hyper extended his knee on the slick lido floor because it is mopped continuously and the humidity doesn't allow time to dry. Cabins, lobby, most decks are very comfortable. Better description of adults only decks and spaces would be appreciated.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
More noisy than a forward stateroom, but just as comfortable.

Ship Tip

The spa is top tier everything. Spend your extra money here. Ask for Shandra to do a bamboo massage. She has 9 years experience with Carnival. Take your portable drink cups for coffee and ice water.
