Just don't. If it was our first cruise on Carnival it would have been our last. Alaska is a beautiful place. Just don't go on the Luminosa.

The ice machines in the buffet area were down at times but they did have containers of ice to scoop. Look out for those if the machines are down.

DO NOT expect to watch a football game on Sunday! We are football fanatics and they chose to do soccer instead of football. Super lame!! A BIG thumbs down.

It’s an older ship but pretty easy layout. The cruise director is upbeat but pretty relax.

Relax and enjoy this ship. She’s not new, she doesn’t have all the frills of extra dining options, and she’s not a playground at sea. She’s a comfortable place to be while going somewhere amazing.

Be very careful on the carpet ramps in the show lounge. Very slippery surface.

If you don’t mind walking a distance aft to the dining room or buffet, a forward cabin that uses the front set of elevators which are less busy is a better location
