Review summary

Very nice cruise. All staff extremely helpful and personable. Marty CD excellent. Would definitely put this cruise at the top. Yes Alaska helps with the rating however this ship is perfect for this cruise. Would not hesitate to book again on this ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Living in Florida and cruising ~2 per year out of Port Canaveral, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, port Seattle is the easiest ever in my cruise history.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall was very good. Seeing previous negative comments had me worried but honestly very good...bests the last RC cruise.

Vela Restaurant

4 out of 5

Overall very good with no issues. Sure, some items are not prepared to your liking (or family recipe or what you are accustomed to) but completely edible. Plus, if it isn't what you like, the wait staff will gladly replace with something else (plenty of comfort items available).

Room Service

5 out of 5

Every AM early breakfast coffee, fruit and pastries never disappoints with breathtaking views from your balcony.

Alchemy Bar

5 out of 5

By far one of the best Alchemy Bar I have had. Vasco(sp?) makes the best, hands down, BEST, Spicy Margaritas. The personality of both bartenders couldn't have been better and I was stoked there was never a huge wait like other ships.

Pizzeria del Capitano

5 out of 5

Always fresh and a great late night snack.

Ol' Fashioned BBQ

4 out of 5

Beats Pig and Anchor ten fold (previous Magic trip).

Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse

5 out of 5

Excellent as always. Never have had a bad entire meal service (from food to service) ever at 555 Steakhouse. Keep it up.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Only reason for a 3-star review is honestly the lack of rock climbing walls, enclosed pool, tiny basketball court, putt-putt from the 60s...lol. Plenty of entertainment available and staff always pleasant...just do not expect a lot of activities.

Cloud 9 Spa

5 out of 5

Awesome experience, first day and second to last day massages with relaxation spa. Always a pleasure.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
JayJay bingo funny. Entertainers at all three shows were very good.

Dreams Studio

5 out of 5

Another awesome experience. First on Mardi Gras in 2023 then surprised to see our same "private photographer" on the Luminosa. Vipul Prasad is hands down the best. Never hesitate with him. Book him and you will be amazed at his handiwork.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Ning room steward...many thanks to making our cabin a great clean experience.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Similar to the spirit class so not that "new" compared to what's been released lately however a good ship. Showing some signs of wear and tear but never inhibits the cruise experience. Everything was clean and ship very easy to navigate. Every possible area utilized and appreciate the amount of windows to whale watch, dolphin watch, bird watch...Alaska watch😁

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very clean, great balcony views and plenty of space. A little noisy from Lido above chairs being moved but never too late in the night or early in the AM.

Ship tip

Enjoy every minute of it. Appreciate the differences in ship construction and value the ports of call, staff engagement and overall cruise experience.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Starbucks😁. Seriously, great downtown with an abundance of culinary delights.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Awesome small town with plenty of friendly locals. Train excursion the best ever...spend the extra on the luxury train. Maximum 16 people in the caboose with food and drinks and private tour guide explaining everything...thanks April.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Although my glacier seaplane excursion was cancelled due to weather, great town with plenty of fun spots to visit all within walking distance.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
No excursion booked...nice walk around entire town and sites to see everywhere. Salmon galore and catch them jumping upstream😁.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

No comment needed see pics. Book the only excursion available.

Victoria, British Columbia

Very quick night couple of hours so can't really comment. But Leopold's has excellent poutine and pierogi's.

Disembarkation

Again, the easiest ever so far.
