Review summary
The Carnival Luminosa was an interesting ship but cruising is what you make of it, I could complain about stuff or be happy I was on an Alaskan cruise which I will choose to focus on! The wildlife and scenery was gorgeous as usual, the service was wonderful and the food was post-Covid standard but I wasn’t cooking it so I’m not going to judge it too harshly.Embarkation

Vela Restaurant
Great service, there were new menu items this cruise that I hadn’t seen before which was a nice surprise. Everything was good but breakfast times were slooooooow. Can’t fault the staff for that though, they were doing the best they could.
Lido Marketplace
Pay attention to the times the buffets and restaurants are open and you’ll have food pretty much whenever you are hungry. Chopsticks was tasty and the BBQ was good!
