Review summary

Overall, I'd highly recommend this ship, we all had a wonderful experience and would definitely go again!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
There was absolutely no waiting in line anywhere to get on the ship. All the staff pre-boarding was fabulous!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the dining room mostly for breakfast, that was delicious. We ate at the buffet only a couple times, it's nice to have options. Our evening meal was supherb! Jigson, Sanket and Jimmy Team were outstanding. They went out of their way to get what we wanted, whenever we wanted. They would see us throughout the ship during the day, and greet us each by name, so nice they are very personal! One evening we wanted to get to a show right away, and they worked very hard to get our food to us early, and we were able to get to our show on time, and a good seat! The bubbles drink option was great!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We tried to participate in as many activities as we could (and missed some whales while we were enjoying ourselves in games, etc). We loved the trivia! Gerry was super amazing! He has such a talent to grab guests attention and get them involved. Emily the Naturalist was super cool! She has such a wonderful job and we really enjoyed her presentations and her announcements when there was wildlife activity on the boat, so we could go watch! She also had a scavenger hunt that we participated in, which got us involved and we learned lots of things as well!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The evening entertainment was excellent! The singers and dancers are amazing! It's even fun to watch someone from your own state perform (MN)! Bingo was fun. Again, Gerry was outstanding! His energy is unlimited! Ivan was wonderful at the comedy shows, and the comedians were great as well. We especially enjoyed the adult comedy shows.

Children's Programs

We did not have children under 18 traveling with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our wait staff for our evening meals were outstanding! Jigson, Sanket and Jimmy were amazing! They truly went out of their way to make our meals and family time meaningful! Amardeep was our room steward, he was super cool! We all loved each and every towel animal he made each day for us, and kept our room clean and stocked!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I didn't care for walking through the smokey casino to get to other parts of the ship, but overall, the ship was nice and small and we were able to get to the floors/areas we needed in a short time. The staff were very conscious of cleanliness, everywhere. One example, when we were on the deck looking for whales, I saw a staff member looking as well, but when he looked down, he saw a piece of garbage, picked it up, and held on to it until he found a garbage to toss it. He cared enough, and didn't just walk by. The staff in the buffet areas were always cleaning and making sure everything looked great!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin size was larger than what we were used to, so that was nice. Plenty of space for clothes and personal items. We had an obstructed view, but were still able to see out the window certain times. Amardeep was our steward, he was fantastic and greeted us by name whenever he saw us, and always asked how our day was going or if there was anything he could do for us, he really cared about our stay!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

4 out of 5
Very easy embarkation and debarkation! No lines at all! I was disappointed our excursion was canceled after we got off the ship, due to not enough guests booking. This was a little complicated as we needed to come up with a plan B and take time at the ports to try to figure out what to do.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

4 out of 5
This was super awesome! Even though we didn't stop due to complicated weather, but was pretty cool to pass through all the passageways and the captain did a great job of moving us around all the icebergs!

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
It was super windy in Skagway, but we still had a great time anyway! We explored the town/shops and did a dog sledding excursion, which we all really enjoyed!

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Juneau was super cool, and I wish we could've stayed here longer to explore! Some of our group did a hiking to Mendenhall Glacier tour and some did a helicopter tour, both were truly amazing experiences! Daniel guided us on the hike and was the best guide ever!

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
This was a short stop as well, but we did our best to explore the town/shops as best as we could. We could've stayed here longer as well, so much to do and learn!

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
Again, a short visit! We were there in the evening for a few hours, so a few of the buildings being lit up was pretty cool, but wish we could've been here longer to learn more about it. We took a bus to downtown and walked around for a bit.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super easy and fast!
