Review summary

I love the Carnival Legend! It is my second favorite ship. My first is the Pride. I enjoy the medium sized ships. Carnival truly tries to make sure you have a good time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The Baltimore port team does a good job of getting you on the ship as long as the previous cruise comes in on time. If they are late, watch out because it pretty much becomes a free for all because communication breaks down.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I am not crazy about the latest new menu but I always found something I like for dinner in the MDR. The secret is to get your brunch in the MDR in sea days. Love their 12 hour french toast and yogurt parfaits!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I am never bored, even on sea days! This cruise they added “The Family Feud”. It is very realistic and a good time!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I love their shows, live bands, comedy club, and especially the piano bar!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
I don’t have young children anymore, but the kids onboard always seem happy!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The MDR staff are always tops!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Legend is beautiful, clean, and well cared for.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I do not have a pic to share from this trip nit we stayed in an inside cabin for the first time and found it to be very accommodating.

Ship tip

Stay busy and do everything! Don’t sit in your room and stare at your phone. There is plenty to do!

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
Gas station stop. I gave 2 stars because at least there are a few shops off the ship. There are some excursions that are nice that you can take but the ship usually leaves at 130pm and it is not worth going to the beach for that little time.

Baltimore, Maryland

3 out of 5
Easy in and out at the port but nothing to see. I would not recommend going into the city. It is not safe.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Although it is usually always warm, the port has expanded to 6 ships max and the little town area becomes too crowded now. Unless you take an excursion you should stay in the port area if you get off the ship.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
I am platinum so disembarkation could not be easier!

Traveler Photos

Great job even in some fog Beautiful Christmas Tree Heaven on Earth! The Family Feud is now on board! The goodbye heart towel. Always sad to see, lol. We always make new friends with the staff every cruise. No breakfast better than this!! This is Piano Man Tony. He is the best their is and has become a friend over the years. A pic of the lido buffet when I embarked and hardly anyone was on yet. The had the kids clubs perform in the holiday show!
