I will NEVER cruise out of Baltimore again and I will NEVER again cruise aboard Carnival Legend! Others may not express their disdain, but I had commentary with many couples who expressed the same sentiment as I.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
I have never had to take my shoes off while getting on a cruise before. It was evident that the metal ring on my boot was causing the issue.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Buffet- selection was poor, the food temperature was cold, it was tasteless
Truffles- Brunch x1 awful (poor service, inattentive, cold waffle, refried chicken that appeared to be nuggets with bones?) dinner x1 awful (inattentive, orders mix up, tasteless food, actually the same food that was served on the buffet, additional cost associated with the more upscale offerings was shameless).
Onboard Activities

Comedy show
Welcome aboard show
Casino, our main form entertainment until I was injured through their negligence.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
I enjoy R&B. I listened as passing by, did not sit in as the music was not my flavor.
I only attended the welcome aboard show and it was ok.
Children's Programs
I do not have any young children.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
I was not shown the level of service warranting $224 in automated tips. No one from the Casino ever reached out to check on me after I was injured. We had to wait for tables to be cleaned in order to sit for a meal on the Lido. There didn't appear to be much staff.

Cabin / Stateroom

65-69 degree temps in December in a 185 sq ft cabin was not optimal. Maintenance was ineffectual. The twin beds morphed into a King was not optimal as the beds separated and we found ourselves sinking into a hole. The water temp fluctuated.
We arrived early and were essentially held hostage aboard the ship because "they were not ready ". I'm pretty sure communication was held indicating our early arrival. I just wanted it to be over.
Not sure how you expected a perfect idyllic cruise when you booked? Must’ve been some reason? Cost? Etc. etc. we enjoy the Legend, but get what we pay for…Maybe save more money and take a cruise in the top season.. like a European River Cruise… seems more to be your dream cruise.
Enjoy your next cruise…and know the majority of Legend cruisers are on this ship, because they want to be! Thanks for sharing
Interested in knowing the details on skipping Freeport since that is a required refueling port. Which alternative did they go to... Canaveral or Charleston that the ship made it back to Baltimore?
