Review summary

It was a really good cruise to start with for my partner, who has never been on a boat like this before. For me, there wasn't much that was exciting or really interesting, but the ports were good and the excursions were fun. I'd take it again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest embarkation I've ever experienced. If you're using common sense you will sail right through!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food and drink are good, if not a little bland.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Large group activities are not as great as I remember. But the 21+ pool area was fantastic.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows get better each night, which is good. The final production show is a must-see.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Truly some of the kindest staff I've ever cruised with.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is well-designed and laid out. It doesn't feel as old as its 20 years. But it is not as clean as one would hope.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
A fantastic stateroom for two people. More would be cramped. The balcony was lovely, but the glass on the balcony was so dirty you couldn't see through it. It looked like it was intentionally frosted.

Ship tip

Don't by the Cheers package for the 7-day cruise. My partner and I drank more than expected and still just barely spent more than the Cheers program would've cost - and that includes all our on-shore drinks.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

3 out of 5
It's Baltimore. It's not flashy and it's not warm. It's fine.

Bimini, Bahamas

5 out of 5
The best beaches and waters. Did the Beach 360 excursion. Getting there was great. Getting back was a mess - just walk.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
I love Nassau and we went to the Atlantis Aquaventure for the day. The organization of getting to and from the hotel was awful. I even called Carnival from the hotel to try and get it sorted out and they couldn't help. Fortunately, the buses eventually showed up and took everyone back to the port. But there was no organization and no information.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
*HIGHLY RECOMMEND* the Pirates Cove for 2 excursion. We had a wonderful time and the team at Pirate's Cove goes out of their way to wait on you and help you.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Once we finally got called, we got through disembarkation quickly.
