Review summary

The cruise was good but expected it to meet a few more relaxation needs. The access to whirlpools that could have helped with my leg pain (water was lukewarm and kids took over the whirlpools), food choices could be improved, beverages have never been great on cruise ships so that did not surprise me but wanted it to be different. The 24 - hour ice cream machines were not always functional, and the pizza restaurant was not good (tasted like tomato sauce on paper). The hamburgers were very good and liked the topping choices. Loved the Omelet station. The dessert buffet was just ok but should have been opened longer. Unfortunately, my husband and I came home with COVID 19. This Cruise ended on Sunday 5/15, and we tested positive with CoVid on Monday 5/16. This makes the trip end with bad vibes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room (Truffles) was beautiful, and the food was good. The buffets were just Ok. The burger joint was the best. The pizza joint was horrible. The beverages (lemonade, guava, tea) were not good. The Deli restaurant had great Ruebens. I could not us the HUB App for dinner because of the internet connection. It would be great to a have Wing Stop restaurant with fried and baked chicken.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Bingo, karaoke, whirlpools. The whirlpools were lukewarm and not hot. I like the Serenity space was great, but the clam shells were all taken. The other whirlpools were all used up by kids and made it difficult for adults to use. Also, the jets were not functioning. Have card games such as Spades, Bid whist, etc. for people to play.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were great, the female comic was not funny, and the live games were great.

Children's Programs

I had no children

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Nassau, Bahamas

The port is nice, but the Bahamian people were not friendly. The Must-See Nassau Tour was not very good. The bus driver had an accident, and the streets were bumpy and very narrow. Not a very safe ride. There was no tour of the distillery and no one to get directions on a tour. The Rum Cake factory was so small, it was too crowded, and we were very rushed. I liked the Tasty Tea Store because the staff was very friendly. The Wine Store was nice but again the staff was not friendly. I think the Fish Fry eatery area should be included in the tour. My friend went to this area in April, and she raved about it. I've been to the Bahamas many times and have not received this type of experience from the Bahamians.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

This is only a shopping experience and not enough time to do anything else. Bahamians were not friendly.

Disembarkation

Wow, so sorry things were not good on your cruise and you didn't get the vacation you wanted. The Bahamians are usually such friendly people 😔. The roads are a little worn out and scary in many places. Freeport does not have much to offer if you don't go on an excursion. We have heard rumors that they may be building a new port just for Cruise ships with more to do. In Nassau, there is a lot to do within walking distance of the port, just need to get a map ahead of time from the tourism board or use Google maps. All the Cruise lines do tell you to download their apps before going to the port. Most have you do your preboarding check-in through the app. We're going to Alaska in just over two weeks and we have already done all of our verification through the app, the last thing is to do our Covid test.

If your not in shape the first couple days, you will be by end of cruise. I refuse to use elevators. Yes. The first day going up 15 flights will be hard. But by mid week I find it gets easier as your body gets used to it.
