Review summary

Expected better regarding COVID19 safety as cruise director apologized for carnival not fully understanding CDC and their information for cruise and mask requirements. Customers were made to understand that they could be maskless after 3/1/22, whereas that policy was for cruises that began 3/1 and not prior. I saw no enforcement of mask policy outside of being on gangplank.

Embarkation

Did not have to wait in long lines due to platinum status

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Dining room was great because it was not self service like the buffet. I expected to be served at buffet but things are back to normal like it was before COVID19. Crowding, people wet from pool etc. ice cream machines did not appear to be “safe” because of manner people served themselves

Onboard Activities

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters, room steward were exceptional. However, one of the pursers staff exhibited poor customer service skills as she answered a telephone call which lasted 5 minutes while leaving me waiting with money (to settle my bill) on the counter in mid-transaction. She said it was another customer in the phone with a question. I felt she exhibited little respect for me.
