Overall an excellent cruise experience. I learned a lot which will be valuable on my next CRUISE. I do recommend Carnival Cruises and was completely satisfied with everything onboard the Carnival Legend.

This was my first cruise do I made quite a number of wrong turns, but overall, things were well laid out and signage was very good.
Cabin / Stateroom

I was quite impressed with the Stateroom. With three closets and two additional cupboards, there was ample room for everything two women brought onboard. I LOVED having the balcony, to escape to the outdoors right from my room - in my PJs even! I came home with many, many pictures taken from my balcony - not possible from an inside room or a room without a balcony. The beds were super comfortable. My Steward took very good care of the room - always everything clean!
Ship tip
Bring a hanging shoe organizer for so many small things you need all the time - curling iron, stack of underwear, socks, walking shoes, jewelry pouches, chargers, hats, etc. This was a life-saver! Hung on inside of a close so it was out of site but evening readily available.
Beautiful! Didn't have enough time to do and see everything! I went on an Electric Bike & Snorkle excursion across the island. Don't be afraid of the bikes - easy and fun if you have ever ridden a bike. My excursion guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we all had fun.
Toured a more recently discovered Mayan Ruins. Definitely recommend this excursion. Only drawback was no bathroom facilities once you leave the start location. Beware and drink your daily water allotment AFTER the tour!
Beautiful island. Took the Glass Bottom Boat excursion. Nothing outstanding but did see a large Turtle, Stingray and lots of coral and zillions of fish.
Having to get on a Tender to get to shore was a nightmare leaving the ship...just too many people wanting transportation all at once. I don't know how it could ever be better. I almost missed my excursion because of the Tender issue which made for a bad start to the day. My excursion to The Far Side was awesome; we drove with an excellent guide to Rum Point where we had two hours to snorkel and just relax on the private beach. Highly recommend The Far Side Tour.
LONG, LONG, LONG lines for this whole process and not a good way to end the week. Because I had a flight out at Noon, I elected to leave the ship early carrying my own bags. I really didn't have a choice because of my flight time. But, obviously half the Cruisers decided to do the same thing and there was only ONE ELEVATOR down to Customs area so, again, LONG, LONG, LONG lines and wait time only to be merged with other Cruisers who were picking up their luggage. Not a streamlined, efficient way to end a Cruise.
So glad you enjoyed and yes you learn from each cruise. We feel like we are becoming seasoned but still pick up little tricks each time. You will read a lot of tips on here also.
