Review summary

This was our second cruise on the Legend. It's condition, well let's say the ship was tired. It was kept very clean, but it was past it's "sail" by date (pun intended). It needed revitalising. If it had been my home i would have remodelled. It was still a very relaxing cruise. I took advantage of the days at sea to catch up on my sleep. Staff were courteous and friendly. The food was OK, although it was often sent back to be reheated. The waiters were very obliging and allowed me to order special meals (24 hours notice was required). The Golden Fleece restaurant was excellent. There was an additional charge per head for the food here. It was probably the same food, but individually prepared for you. it made all the difference. Finding a quiet bar in the evening was difficult. A bar that you could relax in a comfy chair and chat to each other and be heard without shouting. I enjoyed the evening variety shows. The ports were the same as we had visited before, although we were disappointed with Roatn. The ship had moved to a different port 4 miles away. We were looking forward to visiting a private resort. We caught a taxi to the old port, but since no ships were in port that day the resort was shut. We might have sail a different cruise company if we want to visit that port again. We travelled with friends. Another couple. I booked both the staterooms and requested early dining seated at a table for 4. this was confirmed on our travel reservation documents. What we got was each couple on separate tables on tables for 6 or 8. It was quickly sorted out, but so unnecessary.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

You get what you pay for. The cut backs were noticeable. The restaurant was comfortable and the staff were friendly. We booked one night to eat in the Golden Fleece restaurant. This was excellent. There was an additional charge per head for the food here. It was probably the same food, but individually prepared for you. It made all the difference.

The size of the ship was good. The condition of the the public areas were clean. The decor was tired.

We had a balcony at the stern. It was clean apart from foot marks on the ceiling. It was comfortable. We slept well
