Review summary

We have not cruised Carnival in many years. It was great then and it has only improved. Spacious rooms with lots of storage. Very comfortable beds. Decor is busy but elegant at the same time. Food and dinner service were 5 star. The Golden Fleece Supper Club was dreamy. Steakhouse fare with music and dancing. Very romantic. Shows were spotty but there was always something to do. Loved the late night comedy shows. We had a small change in schedule due to a medical emergency but we we were alway kept informed. Captain Volvi was charming.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I'm taking a couple points off for the smoking. My husband missed a smoke-free public room or bar with a TV to watch sports while I enjoyed a glass of wine and people watching.

Entertainment

Great entertainment for the most part.

Don't Miss: Megan's Bay

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Saw El Morro fort and Old San Juan. Only complaint: not enough time.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
Took the open air bus (more like a roller coaster ride) to Cane Garden Bay Beach. Great beach with lots of shade and they will deliver a beer to your lounge for $3!
Don't Miss: The open air bus ride!

Pros: Best lunch buffet ever. Can't beat cruising out of New York.

Cons: Smoking allowed in too many bars.
