Review summary

I would definitely book another Western Caribbean Cruise that DOES NOT include Cozumel! I would rather pay port fees and taxes on a different port! Been there so many times, we wont even bother to get off the ship in that port again... especially with it so conjested.....so why do we want to pay those port fees and taxes for that port? We noticed the ship had many more people stay on it while in Cozumel as well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room food was not the best on this ship. Even the chocolate melting cake was not consistent. Somewhat understandable.....we were told they create 22,000 meals a day on this ship!! But....if you already know this, staff should be prepared. If the chocolate melting cake ( a signature dessert) comes out like soup or over cook most nights....there is an issue.

The shows were amazing! The magician was great and funny! The comedians were mostly good.

Service and Staff

Very friendly staff and helpful.

Ship Quality

The Jubilee is a huge ship! The theater really should not empty out where you have too walk through the casino to get out of the area other than the elevators, which get too congested and then there are the stairs where many can't navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

LOVE the new bathroom design! The extra outlet in the room is so very helpful. Lighting throughout the cabin is very well done!

Ship tip

Study the floor plan before you get on the ship to become familiar with the ship layout.

Just too many ships that dock at one time. When you get off this ship you MUST walk through the duty free shops. You have hundreds and hundreds of people at one time to work through the shops. Very, very slow and PACKED! You will be late to get to your excursion on time.

Disembarkation

I LOVED how we were able to wait in our room until 8:30 instead of having to all be packed in a few lower decks. Even had the elevators in service, so the stairways were not slowed down by people carrying off their own luggage. Loved the digital debarkation! very streamlined!

Thanks for sharing, I spent 12-days in Roatan with my family Christmas-New Years and we had a blast. What did you do in Roatan? Any excursions, food, shopping?

The bigger problem with the West Caribbean is that they've made all these freaking giant ships that are too big for most of the ports. Who would have ever thought that Costa Maya would be a major Cruise destination? Ugh

Most all Caribbean ports we’ve visited require you to walk through the duty free shops when going into/returning from port. It’s not optimal, but it’s what it is. Your bathroom must have been much bigger than ours. Ours was SO SMALL - had to come out to turn around! I expect the next ship CCL deploys will have the toilet inside the shower stall! 🤪 Agreed about the cabin lighting - so much better!
