Review summary

Was a nice ship, but due to the lack of attentiveness by the staff we will likely not sail with carnival again.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
The port is a nightmare. Transportation is near impossible to find needs to be completely redone.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Drinks were good. Chibang, the Italian resturant and main dining room provided food, but it was by no means great quality. We are at the 555 steak house and that was amazing food. The rest of the restaurants, while plentiful were underwhelming.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Rollercoaster and pools were good. Hard to find seats past 930 am.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Some of the shows were repeated, on a 7 night cruise made for a few bland nights.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Kids were happy with the kids club!

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
All the staff was busy running around. We felt like they were more in tune with slinging food then providing actual service. Drinks weren't offered at some restaurants. Bread was forgotten. Waitstaff was sometimes no where to be found in the middle of the day.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ships layout was solid and clean. Pool seating was lacking but other then that we were happy with it.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The site was a nice size for our family of 4. Only downfall is it's a lower level balcony which extends out so everyone above you can see you in your balcony. Not private.

Ship tip

Galveston port is a nightmare, plan accordingly.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Lots to see. Did a private tour.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
Rented a golf cart and drove around. Very run down area. Beach clubs are plentiful.

Cozumel, Mexico

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Getting off the ship was OK, getting out of the parking lot took over an hour.

My experience on the Jubilee was the opposite as are so many others. Another review posted of the same cruise said the crew were always friendly, smiling, helpful. You get what you give; smile and you shall receive.
