Review summary

Fantastic trip on a beautiful new ship with great ports of call. We had a hard time thinking of any complaints, this is a great trip overall!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had priority boarding so it was super fast. I’ve never found Galveston to be a difficult port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We found all good options to be above average to excellent. We did a lot of specialty dining on this trip since it was our anniversary trip, but also included items we had were very good. Never saw the buffet. The Golden Mermaid bar ended up being our favorite spot! The bartenders were great and it was a quiet spot on our trip. The drinks were top notch!

Bonsai Sushi

5 out of 5

This Bonsai was larger than ones on previous smaller ships we’ve been on and had an expanded menu. I had the salmon which was really good! Benny was a great server and fun to visit with.

Rudi's Seagrill

3 out of 5

I really enjoyed the meal I had at Rudi’s but my husbands dishes were less impressive. The scallop appetizer was fantastic as was their surf and turf. The lobster mac and cheese and the crab cake were a miss.

Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse

5 out of 5

We did the steakhouse twice on this trip and it was excellent both times! I recommend the wine pairing for sure. I don’t really enjoy any of their desserts honestly but I’m not a big sweets eater. The sorbet is nice.

Cucina del Capitano

5 out of 5

Had the best lasagna I’ve ever had in my life! We only went for lunch, but I would definitely go again!

Chef's Table

5 out of 5

This was my third Chefs Table, I really liked this menu the most so far. SO much food but so enjoyable with the small group. Truly an experience!

Big Chicken

4 out of 5

The lines can get long at popular times but moves quickly. I liked the sandwich a lot but the strips were just ok.

24- Hour Room Service

5 out of 5

We do continental breakfast on our balcony daily so love the room service option. Quick delivery each day and free (tip $1 per item is customary).

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the casino, mini golf, corn hole, Manoj the magician, and the serenity deck.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every staff member we met was smiling and seemed happy to stop and visit. They work so hard to make your trip extra special. From our room attendant Edy to every waiter, every bartender, cleaners, just everyone!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship is still new so everything was in great shape. This was the largest ship we’ve been on so it took a little time to figure out the layout. The staff were constantly cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was very long but seems more narrow than normal. Great size balcony. This cabin is on a corner so beware when leaving the room that others could be coming around the corner. Very clean and love the glass shower door!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did self assist and had priority debark. We met in the dining room at 7:30 and were off the island by 8am! Super fast process.
