Review summary

Overall is was a good experience. The dining fiasco definitely kept this from being a great trip. The ship was fine, service slow but most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was fine. This was my 8th cruise and the islands were visited were okay but wouldn't go back again. I prefer the western Caribbean but this is my preference not a dig at Carnival. Carnival Horizon was okay but not my favorite ship.

Service was slow. There was an error in our dining. We were supposed to have 6:00 p.m. dining and were a group of 14. They had us at different tables. They moved us to the anytime dining room where were stuffed at a table, two people that weren't supposed to be in our group were in at the table and the dining was for 5:30.

Onboard Activities

Could be more activities but the cruise director was great. The Love and Marriage was hilarious as usual and the Veteran Appreciation was fabulous. The gentleman doing karaoke was also fabulous. Overall a great experience.

Oh Carnival...they have made the rooms smaller and the balconies smaller too. Its interesting to navigate around the 2nd twin bed by the balcony door.

We did the Caves, Beach and City tour. Awful. The caves were nice. We got to the beach late afternoon and sat there while the sun was setting. We never did get the City tour...unless you call driving through back to the Port. They did drop people off if you want to shop. It was dark by that time and a lot of shops closed.
