This is where we struggled...and I hate admit that. I’ve cruised many times before and never had an issue. We only went to the main dining room 2 times on an 8 day cruise simply because the food was mediocre, we later found out that the same food was being served at the buffet. The portion size was extremely small and we left hungry. Problem was that by the time we left dinner, the only option really was the 24 hr pizza... which I love but didn’t want for every meal!
Onto the sea day brunch...we also did that twice. Both experiences were awful. The first waiter was in a bad mood and everyone at our table noticed. He never came back once he delivered our food to ask if we needed anything else. We needed ketchup and coffee refills that never came. The second time, we had a Filipino lady who was extremely rude. She took my order first, then my friend. I kindly told her that I forgot to tell her I wanted hash browns with my meal and she held her hand in my face and waved it back and force as to be quiet. The couple sitting next to us witnessed this and said how rude. I just can’t believe the staff on this cruise. Horizon is a newer ship and we paid more for our balcony room this time around so we expected superior service.

The swimming pools are awesome! Now I will say that the pools are a little on the small side... on sea days, you can expect to have the entire pool lined by individuals sitting with their feet in with a cocktail in hand.

We absolutely loved every single show we went to! We saw them all! The singers on our cruise were phenomenal! Two ladies stood out as the best. I hope they really make it one day! They are that good!
Service and Staff

Our room steward was amazing, however all the wait staff we experienced in the main dining room booth for dinner and sea day brunch, were horrible! Read previous question for details. I want to add of one more experience to it that was negative. We were watching a movie one evening from deck chairs on the second deck. The movie had about 20 mins left. Two guys were going around laying all deck chairs down and stacking them. I understand they have things to do, however, please don’t interrupt my movie watching to tell me that I HAVE to get up and move. I told them 3 times that I was not moving and that I would stack the chair once the movie was over but they just kept saying the same thing over and over as if they didn’t understand English and kept telling me to get up. I felt extremely disrespected and belittled by their behavior.

We loved everything about our cabin! It was cozy, roomy and became like home!

Don’t expect much from the dinning staff! They don’t care about your needs or wants!
We will not book a cruise going here again. We didn’t feel safe and it looks very 3rd world. If for some reason we do end up there again, we will just stay in the ship!
This place is amazing! We want to actually book a trip just to go here and spend a week here! Lovely locals and beautiful place! The buildings are so cute and colorful! A lot of walking but well worth it!
Another beautiful place! We walked 2 miles to the beach but it was well worth it! Never felt unsafe and just gorgeous everywhere! So rich in history and we loved seeing wild iguanas!
