Review summary
One of the reasons we took this cruise was the chance to be on a "new" ship, see the latest designs and sail into NYC....the ship was nice, it was new and there were things to do. It is a great ship but has some design flaws that need to be worked out or you need to be prepared for... Lastly, all the advertising lead us to believe that we would be sailing into the harbor, past the Statue of Liberty...this did not happen. We snuck past at 0230 and could barely see anything ...major disappointment. Staff told us that this was due to a "special day" for the ship coming that morning and they needed to hurry in, get us all off and prepare for the festivities planned around the naming of the ship...there were many disappointed passengers over this...nothing like being able to line the rails and see the Statue and Ellis Island.Embarkation

Ship tip
Be prepared to have a shortage of closet and cabinet space. Ear plugs or some other way to dampen the noise level of the speakers on the ship...in our dining room it was so loud that we could barely make out the singing of our maitre de. Also due to a poor design the "Liquid Lounge" makes it difficult to enjoy the wonderful entertainment.
