I'm a seasoned cruiser. I've never been on a 7 day cruise where there were 5 post stops. This was by far my favorite cruise in terms of the itinerary. I got to see Spain, Italy and France in one trip. I would have liked to spend more time on the ship, so perhaps it could have been 1 more sea day because I feel like it was rushed in a sense because of the itinerary. I spent so much time off the ship and I got to see so much beauty and history. Most of the port stops were 10 to 12 hours which was great for sightseeing. But the trade off was that I didn't get to see any of the musical shows or experience a lot of what the ship had to offer. I do plan to book another cruise on the Horizon.

It was a smooth process and it didn't take long.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I enjoyed the main dining room the most. I didn't do any of the specialty restaurants. The buffets were average, no surprises
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I used the spa and I had several treatments which I enjoyed. I spent so much time off the ship. The cruise that I took only had 1 sea day and 5 port stops so I didn't get to do any other activities.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
My room steward was excellent and very friendly and accommodating. Milan was our waiter in the main dining room. I loved his bubbly personality. The other staff in the main dining room were nice and accommodating as well.
Ship Quality

The ship is beautiful. It's easy to navigate as well. I'm a little on the fence about the new elevators. There's a touchscreen pad where you select the floor and the screen shows the exact elevator that goes to your floor. You can't press any floors once you get inside the elevators. I found them to be kind of slow at times. I was hoping that the spa would be designed like the dream class ships. For example the "Breeze" has a separate room for the mineral pool. On this ship, the mineralpool is in the middle of the thelosotherapy (excuse my spelling) beds. I don't like this because people leave their towels on the beds while they're in the pool which isn't fair to others who want to use the beds. Also it's hard to relax on the beds because the pool is loud and people tend to talk loud as well, so this is a let down for people who enjoy the peace and tranquility the whe spa experience.

Ship tip
The spa staff though nice, can be very aggressive when it comes to selling you products and services. You can spend a lot of money on treatments and products if you're not careful. They will tell you that you are getting a discount but once they add the gratuities, you really don't see it. The products are expensive as well.
