Nice cruise by SifeiX

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall a pretty comfortable trip. The dinning was really good except that the waiting time is usually long in the main dining room. The stateroom was quite comfortable. Getting on and off ship usually takes a long time but that might be the case with other cruise lines as well.

Disappointed by NondaT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Also, when I received the deductions from my bank card, they were not exactly like the bill so it is taking some time to figure out the charges, AGAIN. Will not sail again with this company. It's back to Princess or some other line. Whatever you do, try not to be put in the aft of the ship if you have allergies, and are allergic to mildew and mold. It is really bad and they did nothing for it.

"Most Excellent" First Caribbean Cruise by WinnieG1

There was something for everyone on the ship. It was nice that there was an adult pool in a quieter environment.

good cruising at a very good price by JameyS1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

For an older ship it presented quite nicely. Well-decorated, lots of quiet areas, easy to navigate and spacious cabins. Food was plentiful and quite well prepared, with good choices. comedy club was an added bonus. Three pools and many hot tubs plus lots of deck chairs. For travel for less than 100 a day in a balcony cabin it can't be beat!!!

A cruise, nothing amazing by BrittanyR1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Small, sort of old, very small gym, food not amazing, staff not amazing, cruise director very long winded, JD (with the orange glasses) was very fun and energetic! Twice we recieved dirty towels when they were supposed to be clean ones, once the towel was soaked wet with coffee, the second time the towel had some sort of brown smear on it (chocolate we hope, but were to scared to smell).

Very enjoyable cruise by JeffT4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was excellent, variety shows are typical cruise quality, good for the senior set, but would never make it ion shore. Comedy shows were atanding room only. We booked two excursions, the dolphin encounter in Cozumel ($101.00) was worth every penny, but the photo CD, 72 pictures cost $110.00. We booded the South Shore Adventure Zip Line and it was great, 13 zip lines, and a great guide who took us into town on the way back for some "away from the pier" shopping. We had a balcony room which was roomy and had a bigger than usual bathroom. Only drawback was that the beds were a little too firm. Ship is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Good and Bad by PeterC3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The stateroom was very comfortable. The decor was "tired". The most disappointing feature was the dining experience. "open dining" was a nightmare for two nights before requesting a switch to the late seating. Food was below average with very little flair.

The ship was in fair condition. There was a constant odor of sewer that would appear intermittantly throughout the ship and on the open decks

Sadly disappointed by MarioG1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We are frequent travelers and have been loyal customers of your company for many years because we appreciate your emphasis on value and excellent service. Yet a recent episode on your cruise ship has made us question our loyalty. We traveled on your ship, the Carnival Glory, in stateroom 2399, from Sunday, November 27 through Sunday, December 4. Throughout my travel, there were several setbacks and inconveniences that occurred. Upon arrival at our stateroom, my wife and I encountered a most foul smell of raw sewage on our deck. Several other passengers along with us lodged a complaint about the smell. We were promised that the problem would be remedied immediately, and, to your credit, the carpeting was replaced that same evening which, for the most part eliminated the smell, however, it could still be perceived faintly on occasions throughout the trip. The staterooms in your ships have always provided us with comfort and restful sleep at night; this was hindered on this journey as well because throughout the voyage, at late hours in the night, there were loud noises that were consistent with work being performed in the decks below. During our previous journeys in your ships, the dinner menus had been one of the highlights of the trip. We were used to a wide variety of well-prepared meals in the dining rooms and buffets. Regretfully, we were disappointed on this trip because the meals were frequently monotonously prepared. The quality of the meats, particularly, in the case of the dishes containing fish, was very poor. The freshness of the food was absent, the flavor was not good and many dishes were frequently not heated adequately. Our last port of call was to be at Grand Cayman, we were unable to make the stopover because of hostile weather. I know that Carnival Cruises has no control over atmospheric conditions, but with the technology, vast experience and influence that your company possesses, plans for alternate ports should have been available. We merely received a credit for the port fees and a brief apology. We had booked this vacation with great enthusiasm and were counting on an experience similar to our previous voyages. We persuaded five other couples to go along with us, three of whom traveled with Carnival for the first time. They booked staterooms 2395, 2397, 2401, 2420 and 8285, a balcony stateroom. They all had similar negative experiences ranging from broken showers, faulty or stuck drawers, and the like. Many of them said that this was their first and last voyage on a Carnival Cruise ship. These individuals had traveled along with us because of our emphatic recommendation of your company. Consequently, this has left them with a bad taste as to the quality of your product and has left our credibility in doubt. We are now hesitant to recommend Carnival Cruises in the future. I enjoy traveling on your vessels for a number of reasons. Overall the atmosphere makes me feel as comfortable as if I were at home. I hate having my positive feelings about your company ruined by one bad trip. I hope this problem will be corrected prior to my next voyage.

Disappointed by MarioG1

There was a foul smell in the room and surrounding deck, the shower broke, the food was poor and often cold. Little was done as an alternative to missing the last port of call.

Less than ever before by Tami

Events/activities were cancelled; two specifically by the acupuncture person; Tania. She was less than professional; telling me that she was tired and that 3 people was not enough to warrant her presentation on herbal remedies.

Does not Compare to RCL by JasonR2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our Balcony aft room 8455 was awesome. Great balcony which wraps around which was the same cost as other adjacent aft balconies. You can hear all the chairs being moved on Lido deck 9 which wasn't too bad if your from NYC like us but if you like it nice and quiet choose deck 7. Food was okay, nothing spectacular. Service was spotty with a light crew. Entertainment on the ship consisted of mostly the cruise patrons, the ship had two decent shows, small stage though.

Nice Cruise for time of year by MarkB12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The Cruise was ok, surroundings were great. Didn't like those that smoked on Cruise Ship and not in designated areas. Thought was none smoking Cruise. Didn't like non supervision of youth, hot tub areas always full of kids by Big Screen TV without parents. Didn't like. Had kids running alot in hallways and stairwells, no supervision. Wasn't happy about not stopping in Grand Camauns. Water was perfectly still and was told choppy waters caused tendering to be bad. We paid for 4 ports of call and got 3. Wasn't happy not being able to bring our Travel Iron on board, was taken at Port of Call in Miami and was not returned when we arrived back to Port. Port help were not trained at all returning items kept prior to boarding the ship and leaving ship. Was told I would recive a form on this and did not. Lost item.
