Best vacation ever!!! by dennismgray64

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My wife and I stayed on the Carnival Glory Room 7365. Our room was kept flawless by Arvin (Philippines).

Our dinner table team William and Arnold (Philippines) and Maribel (Peru) were warm, engaging and professional. They made us feel so welcome. The food was fantastic.

The ship,...was beyond my expectations. The ship itself was beautifully taken care of. In and around deck 9 and 10 Lina (Colombia) made sure we had beverages and was a treat to talk to. The crew was always tops.

The entertainment we saw in the Amber Room was superb.

Porps to Cruise Director Eric for all the hard work.

Dennis M. Gray

Second cruise experience, but the BEST one so far. by chantibaby

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I really got a chance to enjoy the boat on this cruise! The cruise director Eric, was great, the main dining room food seemed to improve from the Carnival Valor food I had in 2013. I do wish my servers were more personable, but we did have a much bigger table this year.

Salsa & Margaritas Excursion was great, and worth the money, glad we did it. I loved all the ports of call, but Belize is my favorite.  The shows on the ship were great and the DJ during sea days and at the club, DJ Darren A+. I'm happy you're finally having a DJ play real Caribbean music while cruising the caribbean and not just top 100 pop.

This cruise had TONS of kids on it, but it was also Easter/Spring Break, besides too much running they werent a nuisance.

The time of my life by longdollars

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The favorite part of my cruise was the night life, clubing, comedy, meeting new people and getting wasted. The highlight though was the reason why i went, which was to celebrate my cousin's 50th birthday. It was a blast!!! wish i could repeat right nowHappy

Great Cruise by GeoCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The destinations where fantastic.  The PG comedy shows were not PG.  Same comedians does both PG & R and sometimes they slip up.  There was so much to do on the ship in the evenings it was hard to pick what to do.

Love

Western Carribean by erickajoyner

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Besides the power outage at the last port stop, this has been the best family vacation so far! We had great port stops to get off of the ship to explore, so the mediocre entertainment wasn't a problem for us. The cruise director, Eric, actually sucked...not sure where they found him. I guess they don't need anyone to work too hard since it's the Carribean...

Employee and entertainment cutbacks by chrisperkins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

While the average price of the cruise has increased by around 40% the entertainment has been cut back my about 40% as well there are no more DJs on the deck there are no more live entertainment on the back half the bars and clubs are closed in the evening there is no more karaoke except on nights that there are no comedians there are no more People coming around to sell your drinks while you're in the pool and hot tub A lot of the casino tables are closed in the evening till 830 or so even in days at sea

glory review by mgahagan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

the sun the best part . have used carnival cruise lines 7-10 times and always been great. This time not so good.  Felt like they were trying to cut cost in lots of ways-stateroom cabin staff, dining room, nite time shows just not up to par with other cruises as you will see with my other comments. Probably will look at other cruise lines in the future.

second cruise on the Carnival Glory by craoof10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I took this ship for my 25th wedding anniversary and was so impressed by everything that when it was time to plan a cruise with my whole family this ship stood out. The staff was wonderful but I found that the food was just not nearly as good. the menu has changed having the same things on one side and the other not very exiting. I was sad to see that they have taken away the steak and lobster night unless you pay and the midnight buffets are completely gone. the desserts were not exiting. We went to the steakhouse and it was ok but nothing special. The lobster was very nice but the steak was better in the dining room. the chicken was very dry and flavorless. It seems they are trying to cut costs and loosing so much of what made the cruise special. The pizza and burgers were the best food on the ship but you can only eat so many burgers and so much pizza

The best part of the cruise was the excellent service received from all the staff, especially in the Golden Restaurant.  The junior hostess, Isabel, was great!

Great by mkreclovic

all was good, we enjoyed the food, the stateroom actually the bed was great, I never sleped so well on vacations. The excursions were a bit to expensive from my side as I think if you spend another few hundred dollars on top it's jsut to expensive in total, expecailly for a family with kids.

Another great Carnival Cruise Caribbean destinations by acnacario

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Carnival cruises are always fun especially for younger generations. But there are corners that best fit for the older ones. The experuence net our expectations including the ports and excursions. Will definitely go for carnival cruises again.

enjoyable by ksimkins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We enjoyed our cruise.  This is our 3rd cruise but the first during March.  The weather was not as good as the others that we took in June and July.  I don't know if it was just our luck or if the water just isn't as warm in March.  I actually choose not to go in the water in one port because it was cold.

Great cruise! by Meant2BRich

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Had a wonderful time! The ship was going into dry dock the day we returned. I had read where people felt the ship was dirty and worn looking. I thought it was one of the nicest ships we had been on. This was my 9th cruise with Carnival. The only two things that could improve my trip was that there was only one electrical outlet in our room, it took a little effort to remember to charge cell phones and Nooks timely. The second thing that I think needs improvement is the Spa is evidently located under the kids playground or a hallway where there a lot of running. Didn't  make for the most relaxing massage! The crew were fabulous. Our Cabin Steward Richard was wonderful and couldn't have been any more attentive! Absolutely loved the Glory!!!

Good cruise, but it was a construction project by Wildfan807

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

really enjoyed the itinerary and the people working the cruise.  BUT Carnival had the Glory torn apart. No water slide or upper pool, that whole portion of the ship was off limits.  Lots of construction noise during the day and they brought us to port early so they could load more construction supplies. Felt like I was used to help cover the cost of construction.  If the ship isn't in the condition it was sold to us in we should at least be informed. Poor decision by Carnival I believe.

Great itinerary, good cruise this time. by MIchCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The 4 port itinerary was fantastic! Pricing was great. Food was on par with other Carnival cruises that I've been on (14), so no complaints there. Our room steward Jenny was absolutely amazing and one of the best I've ever had.

The Glory needed some updates and actually headed to dry dock right after debarkation...but no one knew that the slide and a pool would be out of commission, that the other pools would be tinged green and have rust or that the due to the work being done there would be construction on the deck making noise and taking up deck space.  It was also disappointing that they opted to show nothing but PG 13 or older movies at the Dive In Theater all week, even in the 7:30 time slot until the very last night when they showed 2 animated kids movies back to back.  It just seemed like poor planning and lack of consideration for the kids. I completely understand PG 13 and Rich rated movies later, and even on some nights in the early slot but to go 6 nights without a kids movies doesn't make sense and doesn't track with what we've experienced on past cruises.

I'm hoping that it's only because of the dry dock situation which had staff taking off as we docked that caused the most disorganized priority debarkation process, but the entertainment staff (minus the cruise director who was off) didn't communicate with each other and didn't communicate with the guests.

They also seemed to have issues with even the simple VIFP program as 3 of the 4 of us (2 rooms) didn't get our bottle of water (ever) and they failed to remove the laundry charge.  The first time I was on the Glory 2 years ago it was fantastic, so I'm chalking this up to an anomaly and counting on Carnival to get it back together in the future.

Disappointed by Coots

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

To inform families next time about construction it was obviously known months prior there would be construction going on while cruising . Our kids were pretty disappointed about not having the water slides 🙁On top of all the racket with drilling while trying to relax. Should of had more music played by Djs on pool deck to drown the sound out

A wonderful husband/wife getaway by VanArsdales

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise was spectacular even considering remodeling was going on while we were on board but it did not interfere with anything we wanted to do.  Entertainment was great.  The cruise director was friendly, very energetic and seemed to love his job.
