Review summary

To inform families next time about construction it was obviously known months prior there would be construction going on while cruising . Our kids were pretty disappointed about not having the water slides 🙁On top of all the racket with drilling while trying to relax. Should of had more music played by Djs on pool deck to drown the sound out

I think we were compensated well for the lack of the waterworks not being done The one complaint I would say is the windows on the back and the chairs were filthy the entire trip Usually they are clean We kept writing clean me on them we had several cabins on deck 7 on the back

I had no idea until Shipmate about booking 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after dry dock and have never read that before. I don't cruise until June but I would be upset too and the money would be nice but not worth it to me!

First of all the Dry Dock/ ongoing construction schedule is listed on their website. People were given OBC and reduced future cruise discounts. I personally avoid booking cruises 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks post dry dock no matter which cruise line it is.

notice was given along with discounts and OBC.

If that was your cruise you would be pretty upset regardless of refunds and discounts. Some passengers book these cruises over a year out. And too board a ship under construction with no notice is not just another complaint on this page

Carnival made it right by offering pretty big discounts off your next cruise plus pretty sure they gave some money back from the cruises that had to deal with the construction....someone always complaining about something on here
