Review summary

What Carnival failed to do was notify the passengers that the Glory was going into dry dock following our cruise. They also did not mention that the aft pool and slide would be out of commission. They also did not mention that there would be construction going on the boat all over it during our cruise. We lost seating and gained noise in the serenity area and lido deck. We also had construction on top of the boat by the miniature golf making it difficult to hear and play as there were electrical cords run across a few of the holes. Most of the front of the boats upper area was roped off and unavailable and the bit that was was very noisy. Finding a chair for the movies was a challenge as well since we lost the majority of the seating due to the construction. Complaining on a daily basis did nothing but get me a case number. After being publicized on the news when we returned Carnival issued an apology and offered a 25% refund and a 50% credit off a future cruise which is not enough compensation for the bull they delivered to us innocent passengers. Many, such as ourselves, love using the water slide and having it out of commission without notice is just unacceptable. This was by far the worst cruise we have ever taken in our nine sailings.

This is a standard balcony cabin with an excellent location to the lido deck and casino.

Ship tip

I would not sail on board this ship again until receiving a few very positive reviews once it comes out of dry dock. This is an old boat which need A LOT of work! The vibrations in the rear of the dining room were so bad that the china and silverware rattled across the table..
