Review summary

Overall the cruise was a good experience primarily because the island stops were fabulous. The boat itself was outdated over rated and carried a lot of loud obnoxious guess who made the trip seem cheap and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone I never once got in the pool because I was grossed out to do so, The food preparation and quality was overall OK and the alcohol wine etc. was overpriced. We loved our ocean suite and spent a lot of time there actually sitting outside since the privacy afforded a much more beautiful vacation experience. The staff was courteous kind and helpful. All in all I was disappointed and embarrassed that I had brought my fiancé on such a rinky-dink looking boat with very few interesting things to do on it except go to the gym, the comedian shows were good. This ship needs a complete overhaul. I have traveled w Holland America and Norwegian Cruise lines prior and as I mentioned I was very disappointed with Carnival.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food prep was hit or miss. The Wine overpriced, few specialty Restaurants and the buffets were mediocre. The Lido area for good service had not enough seating and the overall decor was ugly and cheesy.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
The Gym and machines were excellent. The pools, whirlpools and-common outdoor areas were packed with loud, offensive looking, tattooed and ill- mannered People.

Entertainment

The comedians were very good. It would have been great to have an indoor movie theater and not the only one being outdoors on the loud obnoxiouslido

Children's Programs

No children taken on board

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Overall the service and staff were courteous, kind and were trying hard to do a good job.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship looked old, cheesy, and outdated. The different levels where not well designated and the elevators did not show what was on each level. Signage was poor and people were always asking how to get to wherever. The dining areas, lounges, casino and just about anywhere you looked appeared like it had been created 30 years ahs

Cabin / Stateroom

This was the best part of our ship experience, it was outdated in decor but comfortable, accomadating and clean.

Ship tip

I would not recommend this cruise ship to anyone. The islands where we stopped was the only true highlight of our vacation.
