Review summary

This was a smooth sailing cruise. Everyone on board was helpful. For how many kids that were on board, we didn't see too many since there were quite a few activities keeping them busy. It was a great honeymoon choice.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
This cruise was fantastic! It seems a bit of a cluster when getting on though. We were following through and someone told us to follow the person in front of us since we didn't have a "zone #" since we checked in online. We ended up getting up to where you start the entrance process and asked someone for help, they said just to go on ahead with priority boarding - which was a nice surprise for us even though we probably would of ended up waiting forever.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room was ok - food options were not as great as the last cruise we went on, but still decent. We would look at the Carnival Hub App for the menu before going and we only skipped 2 nights in the dining room.

BlueIguana Cantina

SOOOO GOOD! I wish this was on every ship!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities were ok. We really enjoyed watching the lip sync battles and the 80's dance show in the theatre. Serenity was nice, just wished the bar was open more often so I didn't have to go down to find a beverage. We did the spa couples massage and it was wonderful. We felt very comfortable.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Glorious Bandsters were amazing! We also enjoyed the comedy shows by Mike, John, Kerry?, and Tom. John was hilarious - ask for the Taco Story! :) Travis was also a favorite for acoustic jams. We did not care for Cam when he was doing some of the trivia shows and events - he is super hard to understand and the games were no longer fun for how long it took since he couldn't pronounce the words half the time.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Garry was a wonderful steward! He kept our room clean and arranged a good time for him to come when we would be gone. He always greeted us in the hallway in a friendly manner. Waiters were very good in the dining room - if going to the dining room however, allocate at least an hour if not a little more if you are trying to make a show afterwards. Captain Pero was great - it was the smoothest cruise we have gone on.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It took me a couple days to get the hang of the ship since it was kind of opposite of the last one we went on but it was always clean and kept up! I was very impressed to see employees constantly working and cleaning up everything they could.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was what we expected. Nothing too big or spacious, just enough to come back to. If you enjoy sleeping in pitch black like we do, this is definitely the room to go for. And surprisingly so, this room was pretty stable if the boat ever got rocky. It was also quite close to the elevators so it was always convenient and easy to find.

Ship tip

The Colors Lobby and Casino are nice places to hang out at - there's usually always something going on, especially in the evenings. Deck 3 and 10 are for smoking, and starboard side of deck 3 is an easy, nice spot to hang out at for everyone (right off colors lobby). We enjoyed this cruise very much for our honeymoon and would be good for any vacation. The 4 ports make it quite enjoyable with many activity/excursion options.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

We flew in late - got in at midnight and just stayed in the hotel till 10:30 before we took a taxi to the port.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Cozumel was great. People did "hound" you a bit, but we looked around and ended up at a couple of the bars to have a beverage or 2 and lunch before heading back. Did not take an excursion here.

Belize City, Belize

4 out of 5
We were warned like crazy about this port, but it wasn't bad at all. We did the Lamanai Mayan Ruins w/ Jungle safari boat ride excursion. Felipe and his assistant were excellent. The bus ride was good, inner Belize did seem a little "dirty" but you can't expect a perfect paradise everywhere. Felipe was very educational about the country and mayan ruins. When you climb one of the temples, make sure you have decent shoes, the climb is worth it!

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

this port was very nice! We did the Boss Underwater ScubaScooter excursion. It seems VERY silly, but was well worth it, especially for the laughs. The scuba divers made sure we were all ok before proceeding with anything. If you've snorkeled before this is a nice way to snorkel a bit and get some "lazy man" scuba diving in :)

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
This port was nice - no-none bothered you like they did in Cozumel. There were 6-7 cruise ships at this port at the same time when we were there so we couldn't stop at a restaurant or anything while there. Just did a little shopping and went back to the ship to relax.

Disembarkation

This was pretty slow, it seemed like things were really backed up for awhile. All passengers were suppose to be off by 9:45 and we didn't get off till 10:30 and we were group 11 of 20+. I think some people may have got stuck in customs for a bit? However we had no problem getting through.
