Upset with Carnival had my 10 yr old daughter and 10 yr old nephew in cruise and they closed down water slide removimg it so was not available all week. if had known about would have selected a different cruise. kids were bummed all week. all carnival did was give a lousy 5.00 card for game room,l.

Called today and renovations will not be complete until march 25th. I am sailing the 18th-25th and was told that nothing can be done.

Was the adult only pool open?

So sorry to read that the kids were so disappointed that the water slide was closed.  I hope that they get to go on another cruise soon where the water slide is operational.

all yeah they enjoyed themselves but would have been nice if carnival would have let us know that the slide would be closed. the slide closed because took it out and replacing, we also got to smell welding fumes with them cutting. they are putting the ship on dry dock for two weeks could have done this work then

So if you had known prior to the cruise that your two 10 year olds would be so distressed with the slide being closed, you would have cancelled and rebooked on another ship??? Because of the waterslide being closed? Was there NOTHING else to do onboard for them? I'm sure they closed the slide for a reason. Better for them to close it as opposed to having your 10 year olds get injured using it. A cruise is an adventure within itself. When we took my then 12 year old niece on the Carnival Pride some years ago, her biggest excitement for her was riding the glass lifts up and down.
