Review summary

My favorite part of this cruise was the eating. If you are going to go on a cruise be mindful of Hurricane season. My trip was ruin due to that . I didn't enjoy my cruise for the amount of money that was spent I could have went to an all exclusive resort and not worry about the different port changes.

I was on the glory October 22 2012 in hurricane sandy. At times we had wave coming over our lido balcony. Our bathroom door swung so hard it fell off the hinges it was the wildest ride I've ever taken but not once did I feel unsafe. The captain and crew made the best of a bad situation that was out of their hands. I am booked oct 15 2016 and I'm in the same cabin looking forward to it

Maybe the land based vacation would also be affect by a hurricane, storms are typically 200 miles wide, any last several days. You can't out run them only stay safe. I know, living in Florida for 35 years.

I have been on at least 15 cruises during Hurricane season. Maybe 5 were effected. On one the cruise from West Caribbean to East, just as we left port. During Hurricane Francis, we spend 2 extra days sailing at apx. 2 knots off the Southern Cuba. You may think 2 extra cruising days would be fun, but there was a lot of anxiety. Flights had to be changed. People ran out of daily meds. I found out that cruise ships sail with 1 week of extra food. That's what we were told. I have more stories as do most cruisers, but the bottom line is most times the Captain and crew will do there best to keep you safe. I know a lot of you have had nightmare cruises, but not us. Make your plans based on what's good for you. Just about any cruise to anywhere or a cruise to nowhere is better that no cruise at all.

Why do people blame the cruise ship for the weather?
