Review summary

Our cruise was very nice.  I loved the itinerary, Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk.  Everyone was very pleasant, service was friendly, however, I don't know if they have cut back on dining room and bar personnel.  Service in these areas was very slow.  Cabin service was very good, we received service twice a day, except for one day we did not receive evening service.  Our schedule was a little different that day so we might have been in the cabin when they normally would have been there and they did not come back to us.  Embarkation and departure were hassle free.  The ship was rolling more than usual but cannot control the weather!  All ship personnel were very friendly!

Couple other tidbits. Once at sea, there is obviously no cell service. The ship does offer WiFi, different plans based on use. This is pretty slow and spotty on the ship. If you need internet, start with the cheapest package and bump up if you need to. Speed doesn't increase by package, just what you can do with it, social networking, email, browsing etc. If you need a good drink, go to the Alchemy Bar on deck 5. Get Brian as your bartender. Best mixed drinks on the ship. The food isn't 5 star, but the staff is. Show them some respect. A thank you goes a long way with them. Gratuities are already added for anything that you pay for, but tipping your wait staff (at the end of the cruise, not every meal), bartenders, and cabin stewards is a nice thing to do. They truly work like dogs. The shows are more amusement park than Broadway, but still enjoyable. The ship sees thousands of people per month, 12 months a year. Not everything is pristine, but pretty impressive nonetheless. It is nice though and a lot of fun. Relax and enjoy.

My wife and I just took this cruise on the Glory last week, 3/6-3/12. The Glory is a fine ship with excellent staff. Don't listen to naysayers. The food is good with much to choose from. It isn't 5 star, but it's mass produced for a couple of thousand people, so it really can't be can it? Half Moon Cay is very pretty. No local vendors peddling wares or offering to braid your hair, which is nice. Free food, buffet style which was OK. Again, very pretty, but just a beach. Bring sunblock. Our snorkeling excursion in St. Thomas was cancelled because it was too rough. Wound up taking a taxi tour of St. John's. We loved San Juan. We did the walking tour, which is basically self guided. The forts are awesome with incredible views. Lots of shops and great, authentic restaurants. Try the ice cream vendors on any Street corner. Good stuff. In Grand Turk we did the ATV tour thru Fantastic Tours. That was a lot of fun and their staff was great. In all, a great trip that I would repeat. The weather was clear and warm but very windy which churned up the seas. If you are prone to seasickness, bring some Dramamine. You wouldnt think a ship that big would feel the waves, but it definitely did. The only calm night was the last. Ship was rocking and rolling all other nights at sea.

I'm glad to hear this myself, my husband and our children are traveling this very itinerary on this very ship in November.

Yes, please share any fun experiences you had on the islands. My husband and I are doing the same cruise in October. Extremely excited.

How long did it take you to get off the ship when coming back home? Disembark?

Taking this trip in November with my husband. What excursions did you do?

What did you do in port

We'll be on the Glory next month! What did you choose to do in each of the ports? I'm having a hard time finding new the right type and time of excursions. Was there a lot to do and explore from where you docked at each port? Thanks for any help/advice you give!
