Review summary

Dr. E the cruise director was everything you could ask for in the person leading the fun, with a  great personality who really enjoyed his job, he made people laugh and enjoy their time on the ship. Our wait staff for our early dinning were more than great. Tony, Benjamain. and Iwayan made our meals memorable.  I wish I could remember the name of our state room attendant, she was the best we have ever had on any cruise.  I do wish the ship had more variety, clothing and nice articles for sale. They had the usual "sales" on a specific day and time for watches and jewelry but the selection is small and always the same. The candy shop would be better off if it sold chocolate candies and perhaps caramel apples, nuts and special cookies. We didn't see anything we wanted and I have a big sweet tooth.  The entertainment was okay. The singers and dancers were good but three shows of just the same people? We would have liked to have more variety.  The comedy was good.  To fit everyone in to see it, maybe it should have been shown on the main stage. I remember when Bingo used to be fun and a big production. It was very rushed with just a simple line for the win. The $3000 bingo was not explained until AFTER all the cards were purchased, we felt somewhat cheated. A ball was drawn and IF you get a bingo on that exact number when called, then you win. They had us use the same bingo card for two games. The problem with that was the advantage or disadvantage you had for the first game carried onto the next game. It felt like the cast was just too lazy to start over or too cheap to give us a new card for that game.   These are small problems and as a whole we liked the ship, crew, and the ports were wonderful. Well worth the price.

Ship experiences

5 out of 5
Ther could have been more variety but the food was real good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Many things overlapped so we didn't get to do as many as we woud have liked.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Singers and dancers good but we didn't like the theams and there was not enough variety.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Dr. E ship director was excellent. Tony, Benjamine, and Iwayan were the best. We had the best room attendant of any cruise we have ever taken.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean, dinning rooms could be upgraded. It was less noisy on the nights the tablechoths were used and much nicer looking.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
CLEAN. Can't say enough about our room attendant. Beds are very hard though.

Ship tip

I am going on a Carnival cruise next month too, and the one thing I am going to do is take a large cup with me. The cups for Tea or coffee were very small. There is no need to over pack, much of the cruise is casual and comfortable.

Grand Turk Island

We went 4 wheeling and had a blast. We were able to see a lot of the Island and made some educational stops along the way. The beach and the pool area were great too. We needed much more time here.
