Review summary

Food was great, but the evening entertainment was lacking.  Rarely was the theater filled to capacity.  Many empty seats.  Two nights of Hasbro games was ridiculous.  Two nights of the exact same show with the singers and dancers at the exact same time was ridiculous.  Other cruises have featured magicians and professional entertainers.  The comediens in the Ebony lounge weren't that great either. One constantly ridiculed everyone, even people and kids in the audience.  The "family" shows didn't seem so much family oriented to us.  Deja Vu was a fantastic group as the members performed.  Sadly, they were put in the casino lounge which seemed like a hallway.  They could have been one of the performances in the theater for evening entertainment...again, in our opinion. St. Thomas and San Juan were great ports.  The Carnival Island was fantastic--a great way to start or end a cruise.

Ship tip

Buffet deck was crowded in the mornings with long lines for breakfast. No knowledge of the dining room for breakfast. Dining room was great at dinner time. Hamburgers/cheeseburgers cooked by the pool were fantastic. Ice cream/frozen yogurt machines were great too.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Did no excursions or activities as we just got our car from a parking lot off site and drove home.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

We did the excursion to the beach and then to Blackbeard's Castle. Very interesting tour.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We rode the free trolleys around town and to the forts. Very interesting forts.

Grand Turk Island

Nothing there. Crowded beaches and crowded pool. The one bar had "free" wifi, but the internet didn't work anyway. We wouldn't even get off the ship if we were to go again which is highly unlikely.
