Review summary

Smoking has always been allowed on one side of Lido deck on every other cruise we have ever taken.  But it was not allowed anywhere on deck except for a corner on deck 10 where there were 12 chairs , there was NO housekeeping to the area for 3 days and then only after we all complained at the front desk , and no service from waiters.  We were shuned.  Smoking was allowed in casino IF YOU WERE GAMBLING, and at some bars IF YOU WERE DRINKING ONLY. So smoking was OK as long as you were drinking or gambling and giving Carnival more MONEY but not otherwise.

We are very disgusted and will never sail on Carnival again unless their policy changes.  We will also tell anyone we know to shun Carnival.      From  Elizabeth and William Carter

I found the below information with a quick search. As a non-smoker, I’m fine with the limited areas but there’s no excuse for poor service! They should not be able to force you to drink to spend time in any lounge – was that enforced by security or the bartenders? We have a friend who smokes 2 packs a day – he’s had to book a balcony on any Carnival cruise since they changed the policy in 2011. This means it costs more so he cruises less often… Carnival Glory Lounge Name Permitted to Smoke Note Casino Camel Club Casino cigarettes While playing at designated slot machines/table games Casino Bar Kaleidoscope Bar cigarettes Designated areas Dance Club White Heat Dance Club cigarettes Jazz Club Bar Blue cigarettes/cigars Exterior Open deck cigarettes/cigars Designated areas Note: Tobacco Pipes are allowed wherever guests are permitted to smoke cigars. Note: E-Cigarettes are allowed wherever guests are permitted to smoke cigarettes. Note: The casino is a non-smoking lounge while closed; when open, smoking is limited and only permitted while playing at designated slot machines and table games.

So smoking is a major importance to an enjoyable trip? Seriously poor priorities.
